Free Wizard magazines

Post by k_c_collectibles »

Hey guys,

I was doing some cleaning around the office and I round some unopened Wizard magazines that were in a lot with some other stuff I wanted. I will offer them FREE to any board member who wants them - all you have to do is pay shipping. They are issues # 11 (2 copies), 15, 25 and 78.

Shoot me a PM if you are interested. Otherwise they are headed to the circular file early next week.

Chris...

This post was funny as hell my man :thumb: ...wait, you did intend it to be humorous correct? :|

I mean, giving away Wizard mags for free is the ONLY way you'll get rid of them I thought :D

Believe it or not, I do own the 1st GRADED Wizard# 1 by CGC  and I had it graded ONLY because it was an awesome Spidey cover by McFarlane :thumb:

Actually, I don't find that unbelievable at all. The mag might be a rag, but some of the covers had some very cool artwork. I still have most of the ones I bought back in the day, it's kind of funny to pull one out and see some of those crazy prices from back then.

I was just trying to be a nice guy and offer then to anyone who wanted them. I know there are people out there who collect them (not myself obviously) and I thought I would offer them to my friends on the boards. If nobody wants them then off to the recycling center. :thumb:

Don't take any offense to the remarks made Chris, I think it's cool of you to offer these for free.

D J was right about them having a lot of cool covers. That was how they drew so many people in to buy them. Unfortunately alot of people who bought them thought Wizard was always knew what they were talking about and priced comics correctly.

Covers..oh absolutely fantastic stuff, lets be less humble about them :P

These we're original art commissions by the top artists in the biz, that original art will have quite a large aftermarket in the near future.

I personally happen to get real lucky, and know someone, who knew someone else,..that knew...ahhhhhhhhhhh, forget it...

I own original cover art, to an issue of Wizard...and it's an awesome piece IMO :thumb: Obviously, it's not an "action" cover, nor a "Comic issue" cover, nor other types of "conventional" cover art. It's still original cover art by a big artist, and very well done stuff.

They've had some excellent covers for sure, i've thrown away many of the mags, but I removed the covers, and eventually used them all for a lamanated comic wall in my comic room :thumb: they look fantastic...

sorry for this digression folks...whoops :D ... :| i'll just...leave now

The thought the first Wizard (1st Issue) cover was by Bart Sears (Venom). :?

Peter, no-one is (hopefully) going to talk trash about what you like - so I have to ask: what original cover art to Wizard do you own? A scan would be cool as hell, even!

So, Wizard is posting pre Unity prices along with some rare-issue values. Are they (Wizard) going to this site to get the info? I haven't bought a Wizard in about 18 months, but I finally broke down today and purchased one. I still think this site is very informative-- because Greg has put together one impressive, comprehensive site.

Has anyone else put together a DC/Marvel/Image site as great as this one?

Would you like me to send you $3.00 to your paypal account for media mail?

Thank You.

Nice! I bet it looks great framed and hung, esp. without all the words and blurbs put on for the magazine.

*EDIT* I tried posting the pic, but it didn't work for some reason - I hope the link works!?!?!
