I was seriously hoping one of the DOOMers might amplify this announcement as a sure sign of the apocalypse, but no such luck.

Perhaps if the announcement had included some new personnel hiring announcement from the Acclaim era, like perhaps a secretarial position from those days, or a new paper clip recycling assistant, not speaking up may have been rendered absolutely impossible
