Question about inventories

Post by cjv »

I was just looking at my inventory, and I noticed that many books I have had for quite some time have seemingly vanished from my list. Regular issue books and some other stuff (like Harbinger TPB blue, etc).

Just curious if there might have been a glitch in the program, or what? ACtually, I don't know how they are transferred - do you do it by hand Greg, or is it a program that extracts information?

Anyway, I just submitted my list, so hopefully it will be corrected next time. :) No rush or anything, keepin my inventory up to date should not be a priority. :)

Hmmm... I think I found the problem...

I just got a new computer so I've been working out the bugs lately...
Something about your list was different on "long names"
(Such as "Archer & Armstrong 8 / Eternal Warrior 8")
...so all your "long name" comics were lost in the upload.

Fun stuff! :?

I assume it is an automated process?

Partially automated.

Each person has an ID number that I add to their Excel file rows...
Then I export the Excel data to a .txt file.

I manually put all the .txt files in to a master list,
(I completely replace the old lists with the new ones...)
and then I can run my automated process.
