Question about USPS priority mail insurance claims
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was wondering if anyone knows how filing claims for damaged comics works, specifically what you're supposed to do if you receive a group of comics but only one of them was damaged in transit. The package was sent priority mail, so it has the automatic 50 dollars coverage. The total cost for all the comics from ebay was thirty dollars or so. Do I just file for the total cost or do I file for the value of the damaged comic. If I'm supposed to file for the value of the damaged comic, how do I present proof of value for a single comic?
Thanks.
Thanks.

- Especially "dude." And "balls." Those terms work in the tech industry.

Re: Question about USPS priority mail insurance claims
I’ve never been successful with a damage claim with USPS or UPS. I never use UPS because of a claim I put in 18 years ago. Not that they care about the $10k I spend annually on shipping through work.
I have had luck with missing parcels.

Re: Question about USPS priority mail insurance claims
It only costs me a few minutes to give it a try. Do you know if I just file for the full value or if I have to figure out some way to prove the value of the individual comic, and if so how?

Go for the full value of the books they will not refund you the shipping costs.
I have actually been Successful in this I provided pictures and uploaded them them using there form and was shocked how fast my claim was processed and the check came back to me.
Good luck

same...no luck on damaged items but have always had missing parcels refunded with appropriate documentation
