Wow, this is great news!
Beyond Valiant is still up in the air, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.
Any ideas?

I don't really mind how many titles they do per month, so long as there aren't so many that I can't buy them all and the stories are good. I think I can stretch to 12/month

I’m not sure that’s really happening, talking to Klein after the panel he needed to say something since the question was asked but it’s highly unlikelynycjadie wrote:Nintendo reprints?! Wow.

I'm sure many of these will be mini-series or one-shots potentially (and I'm fine with that).
It will be nice to see some main characters get back into the rotation or some secondary characters get a chance in the spotlight.

Bet you we will have PSI-LORDS and SAVAGE v2, besides the previously mentioned four. That means seven further new titles, as (4002?) FCBD 2019 is not a number one. I wish more RAI, UNITY, iHARBINGER/MPERIUM and TIMEWALKER, and some odd couple of VH1 and Acclaim IPs creatively ressurrected (such as Deathmate or Secret Weapons were). Nice news.

This was the VFans forum, so I’m not sure how much, if anything, was sanctioned by VALIANT itself. Dysart could have just been talking and never actually work for them again. Hope I’m wrong, but that’s the impression I got.jmatt wrote:This is great news. I wasn't aware Dysart was back on board.

Re: Valiant to Release TWELVE #1's in 2019 (One Per Month)
Just a update from what I heard...some stuff I can't say because I did promise to keep my big yap shut! Lol. The look on that panels face when I went up to ask a question was priceless. That is because I did talk with them for about 30 minutes or so (at the poker game on Friday night) before they all started walking away..lol. To be fair I am sure part of the reason is because there are other people there to meet and talk too..but walking in they all knew me and my posts..just saying.
Anyway titles will continue on as they have. It will be about 6 titles a month with it being a mixture of one shots, minis and regular series. The tempered glass looks interesting but let's see the final product and see if it delivers. Lots of things that they are working on in other media so fans wanting toys and video games may have something to celebrate. 2019 is going to be their big push. They are also talking up the Bloodshot movie and release date, as well as the Russo brothers working on Quantum and Woody. What I found interesting was when Mel said hopefully it will get picked up and ordered to series. So maybe not quite a done deal that we will see this show? I personally am very excited that Ken Lashley is drawing Bloodshot because I am a longtime fan of his. He is super nice and approachable, so say hi if you get the chance.

Re: Valiant to Release TWELVE #1's in 2019 (One Per Month)
This is a great goal for the new Valiant. I hope it's not a bunch of one shots and specials. But having one book per month that can hit high number and 'pay' for the others to loom around the 8k mark would be nice to keep the ongoings going.
Hoping for Savage and more.

Re: Valiant to Release TWELVE #1's in 2019 (One Per Month)
Spoke to Valiant after the panel about what this means for the amount of titles that Valiant will publish and the answer is they will not be increasing the number of books published which means I guess that we will see 12 new books in 2019 but also 12 cancelations in 2019.
The Dysart book is one of the 12. It was started and was almost fully finished in 2017 and was meant to be a follow up to Harbinger Wars 2 and all the new ideas that event presented. They will still publish it but they have to find a way to make it connect now because the story of Harbinger Wars 2 changed so much after Dinesh and Warren left. Dysart said that Valiant has thrown everything at him to do more but that he doesn't like (my words and my read of his sentiment:) the people and the morals of what Valiant is now but wouldn't give details. He said he will follow Jeff Lemire, Eric Heisserer and the rest (who else left?) and won't do more for them but would love to work for Warren or Dinesh if either of them do comics again.

Re: Valiant to Release TWELVE #1's in 2019 (One Per Month)
Whilst this is good news it doesn't bode well for ongoing having any long term shelf life (in terms of being on the shelf at your LCS month to month).
Personally I would've liked to have seen something from the Valiant team which said 'we committed to 2-3 books per week', this would grow the line while providing amble room for a decent enough slate of ongoings supplemented by minis and one-shots.
I buy comics because I enjoy reading about my favorite characters month to month. I don't want to invest in a 12 issue run only to see the book go on 'hiatus' for a couple of years.
tent pole titles such as XO, Bloodshot, Harbinger, Shadowman, Eternal Warrior, Unity (or some other team book), Archer and Armstrong should be around month to month imo. Sucks that they're not.
