1 of 5 Ultra-Rare Chromium "The Valiant" sets

This might not be your type of thing, but there's an ultra limited printing (like, only 5 copies) of The Valiant #1-4 available from a French Canadian buisness. As I write this, three of the five sets have been sold.

They're selling the last two sets for 199 Canadian dollars, which equals about $150 USD. All cover art apears to be by Brent Peeples.

I saw this, but there is no info on what is special about it despite there being only 5.

5 available. I'm not sure that definitely means only 5 are being made.

It might not. But I doubt there will many. I figured it's worth a $150 gamble, since I've lost more than that in a Macau casino playing blackjack.

That and I figure it's less than $40 per book. Will see?

That's true, it's unlikely there will be many (if any) beyond the 5.

Where did you see that they're chromium?

It actually says "chrome" which I took as chromium.

Thanks for the info. Sounds to me like the Chrome is one set and the ultra-rare is another. Doesn't really matter. The huge question is if it's the individual comics that are rare or the fact that they are made into a set. If the first, then it truly is ultra-rare.

Ultra-limited runs like the ones they were pre-selling were not allowed under any license granted while I was at Valiant. We heard about the pre-sale and terminated the license, I believe, before these were produced.

So, if they exist... they're not Valiant products. That's good to know.
