Re: Quidd
I haven't been that active on Quidd recently and I haven't completed the most recent Valiant sets.
Just want to note that on rare and valuable Quidd sets (sadly not Valiant at the moment), bots and alt accounts have taken over. This affects the new Marvel sets, holographic sets, and other rare and difficult sets.
I am not a tech person so I am just summarizing what other Quidd users are saying. People are using Android emulators to auto claim coins and auto open packs. The accounts are programmed to open a certain number of packs. There is direct evidence of this. If you go to the new Gallery channel that has limited Gauguin and Monet sets (limited to 250 cards). Many of the top ranked sets are owned by user accounts with ONLY 1 complete set and about 100 cards in the account. That's because the bot account was programmed to open a certain number of sets. There are many of these bot accounts. The account names are usually in all caps consisting of random letters, words, and/or numbers. These Monet and Gauguin sets sell for $30-$40 per set on eBay.

That's brutal. I'm not into using/playing with Quidd, but that really sucks for everyone who does. Greedy people creating bot accounts to profit off it suck.iggy101us wrote:I haven't been that active on Quidd recently and I haven't completed the most recent Valiant sets.

I’m still active. And we finally got an award set. More folks are collecting Valiant there now, and I’ve done some asking and it seems that it has got new people to actually read and enjoy some Valiant !

I"m broke AF, so Im going to sell my Quidd Valiant sets.
I'm going to be selling my two Giorello cards on eBay. Anyone here interested in them before I go that route?
It's cards #1 (31/100) and 2 (28/100).

Re: Quidd
Over 2 weeks since the last Valiant set on Quidd. HW2 barely covered. We got one HW2 specific set, and Harbinger covers, but even that only covered the 90s stuff.

Re: Quidd
Yeah, it’s kinda weird. Valiant has had least one set every week for almost 2 years, and now nothing in over a month. Did the licensing agreement stop ?
Here’s hoping it starts up again

Re: Quidd
No new Valiant set since mid-June. Quidd just added Disney channel today and Quidd appears to be flooded with new Disney sets. Probably no new Valiant sets in sight.
Maybe we will get an update from DMG Valiant

Re: Quidd
Also looking at the Quidd Valiant sets, the first set was released on Aug 2, 2016 with most recent set released on June 16, 2018 (span of 683 days). There have been 162 Valiant sets released which works out to roughly 1 new set every 4 days. So maybe the licensing agreement was for 2 years and it expired

Re: Quidd
Quidd made an update adding a new listings section. You can now buy and sell cards with coins from the app from other collectors. Before you can only trade, but now it's easier to fill gaps with buy/sell section.

Re: Quidd
I was able to FINALLY complete my Tomas Giorello artist edition set. Someone was selling the last card I need for 500k coins. Since I don't really collect anything but Valiant and there hasn't been many new sets in a long time, I had plenty of daily free coins saved up.

Re: Quidd
Upon closer look, Quidd eliminated trading completely (I even emailed them and they confirmed there is no more trading). The only way to exchange cards is to put your cards up for sale and the other user to put his cards up for sale. There's also a 10% "transaction fee" (aka tax) for every card you sell. So if you sell a card for 1000 coins, Quidd takes 100 coins and you only net 900 coins.
I guess this basically eliminate users from seller cards on eBay. Since any card that you sell on eBay can potentially be bought by anyone (there's no password protection feature).
