The man himself (Dinesh) tweeted today that Psi-Lords will be an ongoing title, and not a miniseries. It sounds like it's planned for at least one year...

Sounds like they'really getting ready for an official announcement. Makes sense since the series is due before February. 2018 is a good year to be a Valiant fan.

I think there are supposed to be possible hints embedded in X-O. The pullbox version of issue #1 for example.

I was never a Psi-lords fan, but it's all in the writing. Looking forward to it.

Sounds like they'really getting ready for an official announcement. Makes sense since the series is due before February. 2018 is a good year to be a Valiant fan.

It's not going to be "before" February 2018 anymore since they already announced the January 2018 solicitations.

I do as well, and just searched his account and couldn't find a direct tweet. Now, that's not saying he didn't say anything in response to a tweet, but usually get alerted for those as well. Could have just missed it

Regardless, I would read this title. I wonder if the Psy Lords start off with the bad guys arc in X-O here in the near future...

At NYCC, one panel participant asked about the gap in the story, and we were told that it was coming. After thinking about it, one possibility came to me, and I suggested it to Atom and Dinesh. They both neither confirmed nor denied it, just pointed out that it was an "interesting" idea. What I suggested is in spoilers below.

I think X-O 2017 takes place in the near future. In respect to the other books, I think he's still on Earth, but we're just not seeing his life right now. (Not every minute in a person's life, even a super-powered individual, can be epic, right?) I think the events of Harbinger Wars 2 is the big missing piece, and that's what leads him to leave Earth. That would mean he's not necessarily "returning" to Earth for HW2, or that he'll even be returning at all in the near future.

Coolness, glad to hear it'll be an ongoing - or whatever passes for an ongoing anyway, as long as it's more than a 4 issue mini! Really looking forward to seeing what they do with the concept this time around. Fingers crossed for a good creative team...

Not sure if you were able to see the second link from Bleeding Cool as it appears to have been removed, but the kicker is it was a Psi-Lord promo featuring a blacked-out ship flying through a hyperspacey background. Even though the ship was blacked-out, it had a distinct shape that matched the ship seen in the X-O preorder.
