What's your best "dollar bin" Valiant find?
I've finally, after years of searching, gotten lucky myself and found these 4 books for $4 CAD (Less than $3 US). Pretty happy and got me wondering what other people have been lucky to find over the years.

Edit: no clue why the image tag isn't working for me
For those not wanting to click the link, the image is: Bloodshot 31, 32, 2.50 variants, chaos alpha red & Magnus 25

Great pick-ups! I don't go to a LCS very often, however I was able to pick-up multiple NM copies of Bloodshot #6, Shadowman #16, X-O #25, and Hard CORPS #5 with the special marking (can't remember what it is called) for .10 each.

Nice! These were actually a buy from a Facebook group. Someone in a small city of 6000 people had these sitting around and just wanted then gone. She said she can't give Valiant books away so she was happy to get anything for them

I've pulled VVSS, gold and newsstand books out of the discount bins. For VEI, I can get Limited variants from time to time.

There is an old thread here on this topic, maybe a few of them.
I got 2 CEARs back to back in a .50 bin.

Super cool score. It's neat to see people still finding Valiant hidden treasures.

Re: What's your best "dollar bin" Valiant find?
I pulled Unity 2000 #3 and the first X-O Manowar #1 out of discount bins a couple of years ago. I think there was another pre-Unity in that purchase, one of the early Solar issues.
I'm pretty sure my CGC9.8 of Quantum & Woody #1 was one I rescued from a cheap bin.

My best discount bin finds were books that graded in 9.8. Biggest score was a Rai 0 that came out 9.9.

Only Greg knows for sure, but I assume it is a mistake. It will be a long, long, long time before Magnus #25 is a $10 book.FlipMega wrote:Forgive my V1 noobness in some respects but - why is Mag 25 spiking? (according to guide)

The two most recent sales were $6 and $7 for VF/NM copies. Very weird, but that's what the database is using to calculate the NM value.FormerReader wrote:Only Greg knows for sure, but I assume it is a mistake. I agree those are flukes... but they happened. The book is $1 for 20+ years and there hasn't been a legitimate reason for that to change.

Re: What's your best
I actually checked the guide here when looking at the books the person was selling and thought it was weird it was so expensive right now. For $1 I thought I may as well grab it. I took a chance on a few other books too (X-O 15, a few of the bloodshots hoping they were newstands) without seeing pictures but struck out on those.greg wrote:The two most recent sales were $6 and $7 for VF/NM copies. It's amazing now with all the hype around the new company and products that shops still sell these at steep discounts.

The books weren't even bagged and only mid-grade but I'll save pre-unity all day long at those prices.
