Re: Just wanted to see what you guys think of my Valiant wal
I did something similar during college in my dorm room. Used to bring different girls back to the room; many of which seemed to feel it was somewhat geeky. However, one girl didn't and I married her. We are still together 18 years later.

Yep, that's a keeper! Similar situation with my wife, just revolving around football.DirtbagSailor wrote:I did something similar during college in my dorm room. Re: Just wanted to see what you guys think of my Valiant wal
Pretty much same thing for me. A few years ago, instead of Valiant, I covered my wall with Buffy comics. My roommate(s) had a few girls over that seemed to think that was just the most loser-ish thing to do, but I always knew there'd be someone who would just think my hobbies were neat, regardless of how weird they are. A year later and we're still together.DirtbagSailor wrote:I did something similar during college in my dorm room. Well it's not perfect. If i wasn't so lazy I'd probably sit all of the comics on thin wooden shelves, instead of sticking them directly to the wall, but it still looks pretty rad. I also wanted to frame the poster (I get a new one free from my LCS every few months) and events at the bottom, but my significant other that I mentioned earlier said that it would look stupid unless I spent some actual money on frames, so I sort of gave up on that. I kept my signed Harbinger Wars 1 framed though.TheeBaldMoose wrote:Yep, that's a keeper! It really is a good thing for a "prospective mate" to understand who you are. The fake don't-do-anything-too-weird people are just asking for trouble... later.

Nice set up, I done that once with Marvels baby variants, (inside my walk-in closet tho) I'm thinking about doing it with my Valiant Gold books..

Do you read your comics while standing on the bed?
Looks great, Brother!

Wall looks great, Ferg! Don't ever be shy about being who you want to be publicly.

Well said. I find that people who are looked upon as "weird" are far more interesting, inspiring & cool people to know than the average person that is too scared to do anything but run with the lemming/sheeple crowd. You definitely want to be with someone who likes you for you, weird or otherwisegreg wrote:It really is a good thing for a "prospective mate" to understand who you are. Looks good. I have a few of the older chromium covers displayed so I can see them as I get ready for work in the morning. Puts me in a good mood for the day.
