A copy of the Splatterball no seal variant popped up on eBay. I suspect it may be offered by someone who read about it on this very board.

In Web of Spider-Man 24 Venom appears in a brief cameo. I can't remember exactly what happens, but a black arm reaches out of a window and either pushes or tries to push Spidey as he's wall crawling, and it doesn't trigger Spider-Man's Spidey sense. David Michelinie has said that arm reaching out the window was Venom. If I recall correctly, that arm constitutes the entire cameo of Venom in that issue.

Another book I find interesting is Amazing Spider-Man Annual 25... first solo Venom. Way underpriced in my opinion.

Here's an article on the subject. There's an interview that's been posted online for at least a dozen years (or at least about a dozen years ago it was there) where Michelinie says the arm in Web 24 is Venom's. The author of this article must not have come across it.

I have a copy of #18 but it's atrociously beat up (got it in a quarter bin decades ago)... Dang it!! I never did collect Web Of Spidey very much.

What appearances make those other Web issues keys?

Plus 100 has that new spiderman armor. I saw a poster of all the spiderman costumes and had to laugh. I religiously read Spiderman as a kid, but it's unrecognizable to this guy.

19 is the first Solo and first Humbug. Don't know if they go fro much, but I pick them up when I see them.

Not a key, AFAIK, but it is simply beautiful, and a must in every VEI collector's list. Everytime I come across it, I just look at it for more than what is normal.
If the movies pick up, and Charlene has a brand new fanbase, I can see this book being chased. Not that many, either way (I think) - this was one of those store incentive variants.
I think Ninjak 4A is the Valiant cover in that category

Kraven's Last Hunt storyline, where Kraven dies. Very popular, one of the great Spiderman stories, and a classic cover. If only they printed this story in one title (and not 4, I believe), it would be truly one of the great storylines of the era, IMNSHO.

Ah, yes - of course! That storyline ran across the 3 series at the time: Web, Spectacular & ASM.

I've always meant to finish tracking down all the parts of that story. I never had the Web Of issues, and I think I'm also missing one of the ASM issues too. I LOVE Zecks artwork, this is a gap I need to plug in my collection.
