Interesting CGC sales

One thing I like to do sometimes is search mycomicshop's completed CGC listings on eBay. It's actually pretty fun and interesting, and so much can be learned just by doing that relative to what CGC books are selling and for how much.
In any event, I wonder why this issue of Spectre in CGC 9.8 sold for $170.

I thought this sale of X-Files 1 in CGC 9.8 for $90 three days ago was interesting, in view of my having said I felt this book was undervalued.

Conan 256 CGC 9.8 for $100. The later issues from this Conan series are tough. Still was a bit surprised this one sold at $100.

Uncanny Avengers #2 1:200 sells for $150. There's no doubt that's a tough book, but I'm a bit surprised there's interest in this slab at that price.

Compared to the unimportant recent variants selling for thousands of dollars, this CGC 9.8 Bone #1 seems underpriced... it's actually a major key, now over 25 years old from 1991.

For that matter, is it the biggest key since 1984? (since TMNT #1)

I don't know the answer to your question, but it seems like a lot of early TMNT slabs are selling lately. Here's a #5 that sold about an hour ago for $175.

They're not above it in 9.8 value... are you saying they're more "key" for the industry? That's probably true.

Agreed, however I mentioned on the CGC boards that I think Bone #1 second print is undervalued. There's been a bit of movement on it, but when you compare how much TMNT #1 2nd print goes for it's quite cheap.

Wow. Almost $5,000 for Marvel Superheroes 12 in CGC 9.8 and not far off from that for Hero For Hire 1 in CGC 9.4.
