If you're interested in X-O MANOWAR do pre-order the Pre-Order Editions. They're going to be awesome & will help comic book retailers accurately track interest in the X-O MANOWAR so they can order enough copies to meet the full demand. We're constantly hearing reports of stores that are sold out of Valiant comics by lunch on the Wednesday of release or stores that only order for pullboxes, not for the shelf. When that happens it robs potential new fans or those who have sample Valiant but haven't reserved their copy the chance to jump in. Every pre-order will result in stores increasing orders over all and will help get copies on shelves for new readers to pick up!

I will definitely be pre-ordering this. My shop is a big Valiant supporter but always glad to help push the support for great comics.

I take it that is part of the $499 bundle, not the $99 bundle?

Never mind, just went back and read your post. These are included in both packages

The #1 package only includes #1 of the Pre Order edition. BTW, now that I think about it I have to talk to Dinesh about that :)

Just to make sure I understand the offer, the bonus content will not be offered in subsequent TPB or HC collections, is that correct?

Thanks,

Is the bonus content additional story? Or is it the regular 24 page book followed by 24 pages of the original pencils? :hm:

Is this scheme limited to the USA or will UK retailers be able to participate too?

It looks like a normal Diamond order code, so they should just be able to order it. Getting them to order it will probably be the only hurdle.

12.00 / 3 =4.00 each so there's no price difference to get thease. (for Americans) sounds like a good deal. Thanks Dinesh. Xo ManOwar is my favourite so all be sure to get this.

At what point do comic shops pay for this? Front end? Back end? By issue?

Seems like a great idea to lock in some advance sales for the whole first arc, especially as it's all rewards-only at no extra cost for anyone who commits to the three issues. :thumb: :thumb:

Hey Jmatt:

If you check out the second paragraph in the add above, it shows what the bonus content will be. It doesn't sound like 24 pages of the original pencils. Hope this helps! :thumb:

I wonder if this bonus context will be offered in the trades or HC editions because some of us don't buy monthly issues any longer.

Some of it will be included in the collections. Much of it will not. Think of it like pre-ordering a video game. If you pre-order Mortal Komabt you might get to play with an exclusive character like Goro that will not be in the regular release, get developer diaries that walk through the development of the game etc. Some of that might end up online to promote the game but much of it will be exclusive to the pre-order.
jmatt wrote:Is the bonus content additional story? Or is it the regular 24 page book followed by 24 pages of the original pencils? :hm:
Will be more robust than just pencils. Think video game pre-order. See previous answer above.

Anyone with a Diamond account including all U.K. retailers can order the Pre-Order editions as long as they order the bundle by Jan 26th.

Readers pay for all 3 as a bundle. Shops get charged for each issue as it ships.

Most of the Pre-Order content will not be in the subsequent collections.

It's the craziest gimmick we've ever done. We felt the weight of X-O Manowar debuting the first full wrap around chromium cover and then the first talking cover and wanted to do something equally crazy. If you like those you'll probably love this. Details will be public soon.
