Rarest VEI book? (It's Divinity)
Pulled this from something I posted in the sales thread about Britannia #2 1:50.
---
Pulled these numbers from the September & October Sales threads.
115 Britannia #1 - 19,910 / 50 = 398 =20%(80) = 478
208 Britannia #2 8,583 /50 = 172 +20% (34) = 206
So I took the sales numbers, divided by 50 and added an additional 20% (I believe I've read in previous threads that there are extra copies printed above the actual order numbers). Does this mean Britannia #2 1:50 is more rare than Divinity #1 1:40? I believe the numbers for Divinity #1 1:40 were between 300-400.
Thoughts?

Re: Rarest VEI book? (Divinity or Britannia)
I have reason to believe that there are:
500 copies of Britannia #3 (1:50 Varaint)
750 copies of Britannia #2 (1:50 Variant)
How thinly they were distributed and in what quantities may well be a different story.
Divinity #1 (1:40 Variant) had a confirmed 350 or so copies. Since Britannia #2 and #3 do not feature the first appearance of Antonius Axis, it is hard to compare to the significance of Dinvinity #1 (1:40).
The REAL speculation is where a "First Appearance" intersects with a "Low Print Run" such as Harbinger Wars #1 (1:50) or Shadowman #13 (1:50) for example.
The next "First Appearance" that I can think of (unless some are hidden or unannounced...) would be Savage #1 later this month. Might need to keep an eye on Comichron to see what the numbers look like. Remember: mini series (in prestige format) such as Divinity, Britannia, and Savage do NOT have retailer exclusive variants, which makes it easier in many ways to nab all the covers.

Re: Rarest VEI book? (Divinity or Britannia)
Both Britannia #2 and Britannia #3 1 in 50s have print runs about double the size of the Divinity #1 1 in 40.
Divinity #1 1 in 40 is maybe the rarest...until Savage #1 1:50.

This is what I love about Valiant. The company seems so straightforward, and transparent with its fanbase. How many company CEOS check up on their fans' forums? Not enough.dino wrote:Both Britannia #2 and Britannia #3 1 in 50s have print runs about double the size of the Divinity #1 1 in 40.
