I'm surprised no one has brought up Clinton's prior appearance in Valiant yet:

Guys, it's not a big deal. I'm old enough to remember the contents of lots of comics from the Reagan years (as a matter of fact, I worked in a comic book store during the 2nd Reagan term and H. W. Bush's term), and he appeared in several books by several publishers, as I recall. Sometimes he was portrayed in a positive light, and other times in a negative light. Take a look at how he's satirized in Miller's first Dark Knight series for crying out loud! And if that ain't enough, re-read The Watchmen: Moore's is no "Shining City on a Hill" RR. Also, Ross Perot and Bill Clinton didn't get off Scott free during the '90s (Grant Morrison was not a Clinton fan, for sure), and somewhere upstairs I've got a copy of a gory indie comic from 1990 or so that shows GHWB getting speared through the chest on the cover.

A few of my fellow geezers may remember this golden oldie from 1986...

Totalitarianism is telling me what kind of lightbulbs I will be "allowed" to use, or how many gallons of water I may use to flush a turd, or how large my softdrink is "allowed" to be.

Not even Stalin could have dreamed of that level of micromanagement and control.

But I understand the whole overwrought thing. I felt the kinda the same way after Obama was re-elected. You have my empathy.
