I dug the art per usual, some of those hits Ray took from Deathmate looked so gory and brutal. I liked that they called themselves out on the whole cheesy villain giving his big speech moment and the next arc looks pretty thrilling with high stakes and action; like a summer movie. Definitely loving this series, Bloodshot is still my fave.

Totally agree about the art, specifically the gunshot wounds - that looked really gruesome in a good way.

I actually didn't care for the cheesy villain speech from Kozol, & the call-out from Festival didn't make it any better for me. It's still a cheesy 1-dimensional villain speech, and that felt wrong coming out of Kozol. He's a sleaz for sure, but he's also a profiteering business man. That should be his primary motivation, I don't think he's the sort to be interested in crafting a new world order that he's in charge of.

Otherwise it was a fantastic issue though, I really liked this story arc overall.

Every good villain needs to sow his oats with a monologue into a virgin ear once and a while or we miss the cackle and start to like him too much.

Yeah, ya gotta have the monologue for the reader. Otherwise it would take forever to convey all of that with staff chit-chat. Plus, it's eeeevil.
