Re: X-O Returns In 2017
Great news, hope it's announced for the first 6 months or so. And I "pity the fool" or better "I pity the writer" that comes after this amazing epic we all witnessed unfolding for 4 years and change. I'm gonna miss V-Ditti's Aric forever. I will alaways have his run, but man, I was thinking Claremont on X-Men level of run. Years and years of good comics, but I know that is impossible today. I just thank Robert for what he has given us.Keith wrote:Dinesh, responding to Mark McKenna about an unused X-O cover ever being used:Dinesh wrote:Next year when we bring the book back!
Sir, if you are reading this, THANK YOU. Aric will never be the same after this fantastic run.

I hope they return to the numbering. Call me old fashioned, but X-O NEEDED to run past 68 issues if nothing else just to say that they are here to stay and have plans for the properties even more overreaching than VH1.

I like continuous numbering in comics. Given Valiants track record, this will return with a new #1 however and likely some spin on the title (I hope they don't do this though). But remembering i can live with - what I dont like/want is prolonged breakes between seeing my fav characters/titles monthly.Tim wrote:I hope they return to the numbering. My best guess is March.

Awesome. I love X-O, even a small break feels too long!

I expect it will be a new #1, but I would like to see legacy numbering at some point, like #75 or #100.

Re: X-O Returns In 2017
I believe I said this a while back. I own the cover unpublished cover art and emailed Dinesh about why it was not used. He said it would be used in the relaunch, but I promised not to post a picture until publication.

I'm in agreement with everything you both have said above. Would love a return to the book as #51+, but very much doubt we'll see it.Bl00dsh0t wrote:I like continuous numbering in comics. It'll be a continuation of Valiants method of "re-naming to re-number", I think. In general, they have done it in a much more meaningful way than Marvel has with their ridiculously thin marketing gimmick of having an "All New All Different Adjective book" relaunch every year or so - but at the same time, I'm not entirely happy to see it happen at Valiant. Would have been awesome to see this volume go up to 69 & beyond.

Re: X-O Returns In 2017
I completely agree but also want VEI to do whatever they need to do to get the biggest bump and most sales. For me the best option would be the legacy numbering that Marvel used shortly after Heroes Return, so X-O #1, but also #51 noted on the cover somewhere.Tim wrote:I hope they return to the numbering. I too would love to see 5(1) or some other variation of this. Heck, I don't even need a re-telling of everything all over again, like a re-birth. I'd just prefer a continuation of the storyTim wrote:I hope they return to the numbering.
