I almost hate to say this, but I've been losing interest in this title over the last few issues. There were some really good moments in #26, but it all feels like a lot of spinning wheels in a mud pit lately. Very little story progression and a whole lot of characters talking about how clever they think they are.

All Hickman books do this around the 20s. It's just set up for the big stuff.

I get that, but it's a bit too much set up lately. I'm still into it, just less so.

Read #29 a couple of days ago.
'bout *SQUEE* time!!!!!! :D
Super sweet moment. Not cheesy, just the right amount of heart.

We would be all crazy if we found the second year a better read than the first, but this last arc was awesome. I bet Dunlow was all bananas with #28 too(the Ranger stuff).

Year 3 looks promising. :thumb: I'll be here.

Duuuuude. The part with "you have been reborn in the church of the almighty bullet" had me like 12yr old me watching a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie.

I was behind on my read so I read 27, 28, and 29 all at once. So great.

Very excited for year 3 as it seems the pieces are all set.

I'm really hoping Billy Blackgun isn't actually dead. I loved that character.

Chamberlain's part in 27/28 was great. Loved his dialogue with his niece.

I also loved Blackgun from the go. Super funny. Fingers crossed we see him back. Also, the other dude in the robot suit was super intriguing- sharing the mind with a cold killing machine. Poor dude. Super weird and cool addition.

That line from the Ranger was so damn bad-a** I actually loled in a good way. In a "*SQUEE*, this ROCKS!!!! kind of way"

I just read #29 last night, it was so good! Best issue of the entire second year arc for me personally, glad to see it get to this point finally. Although that Ranger was pretty awesome in the last issue or two :D

I'm in agreement with you guys about Blackgun, loved his dialogue. And that Psalm 137 character was very cool too - along with some really neat background we haven't heard of before, introduced with him. I want to know more about the Kabbalist Remnant!

I would really love to see a sort of world book pt.2 this year. Lots of stuff unexplained that I want to know about.

Going for a re-read of the whole thing in the next few weeks.

Sounds like that's just Image's 'mandatory' publishing break for their books. My wallet can use the break, actually - but I'm still looking forward to the return. In the meantime, I'm very happily enjoying Lazarus :thumb:

??? They have plenty of books that don't take breaks.

True - but a lot of the books I read from Image also "have to" take breaks between story arcs. Or at least, the creators of said books often make comments in their letter columns to indicate that this is the case.

I think it's just if they're going to be late otherwise then Image forces them to have some issues "in the can".

I got excited that the next issue came out and I missed it... Dang it. Hickman needs to write faster. Or find faster artists. Something.

By the way, anyone have any clue what's going on with Manhattan Projects?

I'm not a fan of these long breaks, also. Kinda kills the momentum.
I hope the new year will be better than the second- we had great stuff in there, but nothing on the level of the first.

Yeah, I'm on the fence about continuing to pick up this series, I thought the second year was a weaker story overall compared to the first. Agree that there were some great moments though!

Ok, I did not re-read the second year, went with the new issue without remebering almost nothing (my short-mid-term memory is in the s****** right now  ).

So, Wolf is now the Living Word? And did he literally ate the prophet?!
:o

Dug it, let's hope the series is more fast paced this year.
