Re: 4001 AD #3 Discussion
I can't compliment the art and color enough this issue. It's just awesome. If you buy in print it's worth it for the art alone. I hated seeing Lemur die, particularly with such brutality, but I understand. I am curious how this will play out in issue four. Right now, I get this end of all things vibe with New Japan going down, Father's automatron lying broken, and everything seemingly beaten up. Need some rebirth of something hope...

Which characters cameo? Hmmm, lemme guess, General Krytos of the Dromak Empire?

I don't have the issue with me, but wasn't there something about W.A.R. Corps or some variation of HARD Corps?ValiantChris1994 wrote:Which characters cameo? Hmmm, lemme guess, General Krytos of the Dromak Empire?

Correct on both. It looks like the W.A.R. Corps is a future version of the H.A.R.D. Corps that Father locked away.Phoenix8008 wrote:I don't have the issue with me, but wasn't there something about W.A.R. As well as Sunlight on Snow.. And not as geek out worthy, but one of the original aliens Father tried to use instead of Rai's.

Those cameos were awesome. I loved those panels. I could care less about that Lemur guy though.Keith wrote:Correct on both. It looks like the W.A.R. Corps is a future version of the H.A.R.D. Really great issue. Crazy theory time. Maybe Rai will have to give him self to Japan to gain control and land or help land mutable pods only to find he would be replacing father and decides to unplug him self meaning kill him self. Giving up his life for the lives of meny then Momo finds him and gives him a kiss and he dies.
Hopefully father isn't dead and that was just his Avatar he killed.
Lemar was a fun charater but he was fodder.

I think you are sort of right, but it will be a female who takes Father's place...a more maternal figure...like a grandmother or something...nonplayer wrote:Really great issue. Crazy theory time. Re: 4001 AD #3 Discussion
I think Japan will fall and without someone at the helm it will crash. We need a aniken sky Walker to guide it down. But to log in and controls decent it means death. Who are you refering to. It cant be the Geomancer, glade won't do it. So that leave Momo Lula Lee. But don't you need the live wire to get zapped around like Rai. A live being won't be able to hook up to the systems.BugsySig wrote:I think you are sort of right, but it will be a female who takes Father's place...a more maternal figure...like a grandmother or something...nonplayer wrote:Really great issue. Maybe Rai has to 'become' the new Father to save New Japan? Also, I didn't see any sign in this issue of the blue & gold 'infection' that seemed to be going into Rai from the X-O megabot they flew up there in last issue.

Re: 4001 AD #3 Discussion
I seemed to find myself hearing Hodor any time Lemur spoke. This was a very fun issue with a great teaser for the final book. Rai seems to suggest it will have to be him to lead the "mice" to safety by becoming the new Father.
The Book of W.A.R. sounds pretty cool. VEI id doing some great work setting up a bunch of future books.

Yeah, he was a nice sidekick for Rai, made it so we could have more dialogue and less narrative.dornwolf wrote:Two guys...I thought Lemur was alright.

There's still Sunlight in 4001 AD!
But I didn't like the way Lemur died or the idea of him not surviving the event to begin with even though I had suspected it.
