At those prices, it will be hard for local comic book stores to make much money unless they have a good sized amount of Valiant fans that shop there.

I know I would love one, just not at those prices, especially the shipping

My LCS emailed me about ordering these around a month ago, but the Canadian retail price is around $15 each. Just a tad too steep for me for a short comic box, but they really do look great! Nice design job, and the art is excellent.

That's true, but if you think of it as a short box AND a Valiant lithograph several feet around and a foot high... $15 is pretty reasonable.
