Good story all around and looking forward to more. Art was a little confusing to track exactly what was happening in some of the outer space fight scenes though.
Agree on both points. At this point on some of the panels I'm not getting hung up on the specifics and just think "more battle stuff happens." Which is kind of a shame because it looks like a lot of work went into them. I just can't suss it out.
Exactly this on the confusing art! Clearly lots of effort goes into it but the outer space battle was unfathomable and disrupted my reading of the story.

Enjoying this event though, might need to read this again to fully appreciate it and not linger so much on figuring out the art.

Loved EW's comments prior to the battle beginning:

"I've seen a lot of history being made, Lemur. Big moments starting with one small action. Big fires starting with a tiny spark. Valiant causes worth dying for. This is one of them."

It almost seemed like it was describing the VEI restart overall.

Issue #2 was solid. I'm looking forward to seeing how the summer event incorporates more of the one-shot stories. Bloodshot 4001 AD should be a monthly. Issue #3 should be fun with Father counter punching the crew.
Egad, a base tone denotes a bad age!
