Yes. A good title, Please, with more interaction with the Valiant universe, beyond the magical side. After leaving England, Jack could have adventures in the Caribbean islands, Latin America or even Africa.

It's been awhile since the quote, but Lemire hinted at writing Shadowman in an interview when he first started working with VEI. Given he wrote much of Bloodshot Reborn before an issue ever hit stands, its possible hes been working on Shadowman already for some time.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Jody Houser is involved, since she's co-writing the 4001: Shadowman one-shot.

Good point. I also think she could be on any new Harbinger book as a tie in to Faith.

Lemire would be an awesome pick but I think he's got too much going on ( I hope I'm wrong) now on art keep an eye out for Tomas Giorello

Not sure I want Lemire on Shadowman, while Bloodshot is my fav comic, his arcs to date haven't been original; the current arc borrows from Mad Max, the Annual borrows from Friday the 13th, BS Island looks like it's got a sort of a Predator feel to it while the opening arc was a stock-standard noir that left more questions than it did answers. Not knocking the series, I've enjoyed it, but would like some originality from Lemire if he's to write Shadowman.

I'd be down for someone new to take on Shadowman. As long as it's Jack. Dude needs some love.

Only if done properly, the VEI version has been terrible so far, not sinister at all. His outfit in BOD was woefull too! facepalm I think the VH1 and Acclaim versions were much better and you can't say that about too many characters!

But yes, a scary Darque would be good (and losing that goofy shoulder padded costume would help too!)
I've got the total opposite opinion here  After seeing the VH1 version of Darque in his stupid loincloth and ponytail I really liked the meaner-looking new Darque. Know what you mean about the shoulderpads though, we can probably lose them

VH2 version at least seemed properly like a master of magic even though he was a bit flouncey

I'm happy with new Darque, even if he is now a tree...

I think I found him.

Darque's Diary, day 244:

Still a tree. I once stood at the threshold of dominating all creatures. Cruel Lord of the living. Sinister Master of Deadside. Now I am reduced to flinging apples at little girls.

As the days pass, my initial rage is slowly ebbing into forlorn resignation. Yesterday, a dog relieved his bladder on me. I didn't even get angry. I just sat here and thought "Really?"

The other trees think I'm surly and aloof. They laugh at me behind my back. I just know it. If that *SQUEE* -ing Elm mouths off to me one more time, I swear I will turn him into toothpicks.

That Willow in the distance, she just sways so gently in the breeze. I think I caught her looking at me yesterday. I'd like to get me a piece of that. She'd be all like "Ooo your trunk is so thick" and I'd be all like "I got what you need, baby." Or something. Whatever.

Is it ever going to *SQUEE* -ing rain again, or what?

Signing off.

Haha, poor Master Darque, I hope he comes to fully accept his arboreal being and the tribulations that come with it soon!
