Same her re: Punk Mambo; previously I have found her to be a pretty forced idea, basically that VEI seemed to pre-emptively expect us to universally find her 'cool'/'kewl' when introduced, yet here I felt she was more fittingly used than when originally presented.grendeljd wrote:I really enjoyed this issue - top notch artwork complementing a great opening issue of the story arc. Loved the narrative style, and the continuosly uncomfortable references to magic elements as 'alchemically altered'. Punk Mambo was very cool this issue, maybe my favourite appearance by her to date.
...
Except the sudden addition of aye to her speech pattern. Ugh.
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

I thought the "aye" was a bit awkward too, but other than that I can never hear her voice as Brit, I kinda wish her dialogue could be massaged somewhat to have a bit more Britty-ness to it. Other than that, I also found this issue a lot more enjoyable than the Shadow Seven stuff, I'm just more ready to see Ninjak go on a buddy adventure instead of more hunting people down.leonmallett wrote:grendeljd wrote:
