Very well; you ARE reading it wrong.

That $1500 price tag was my asking price for it raw. But to remove any apprehension of the possibility of it being a "fake" (yeah, I know, but there was a VERY detailed thread pertaining to this some time back), I pulled the listing here; submitted it to CGC; it garnered a 9.6 NM+ grade; and I sold it so-slabbed for right about $1740 DELIVERED to a long-time member here.

Bare in mind that was about two and a half years before VEI made any such movie announcements, and it garnered a 9.6. Had it actually received a 9.8 grade, we wouldn't even be having this discussion because I most definitely would've kept it for myself.

Even so, you may still appreciate it for what it is in all its so-graded glory:

I think I can pinpoint where almost any Valiant issue is possessed with few exceptions. The Platinum Bloodshots I'm not sure about because I haven't really looked. But, I'm confident, if well in excess of $1800 is your price point, one is to be had. That one that sold for $5k+ is an aberration. It's very very rare, but not unique. If I stumble across one I'll let you know. I'm confident that if you posted an inquiry here with an aggressive offering, say $2500 or a PM me what you want, at least a couple would pop up.
