It's really been dead in here lately. Here's one I just got from CAFU. Unfortunately, he did the background on this one separately, and mostly digitally. However, I thought the figure alone was worth it.

Mike, it had to be you! Lol, I missed this cover by only a few hours once I spoke with CAFU. What I would recommend? Pay him more and get him to add in the background. Make it a commission.

The reason I say it, is because as a complete image it ranks at No. 4 (out of 1,080 posted images) of the most "Liked" and/or visually popular covers I have posted on the Valiant Universe Instagram Fan-Page (with nearly 1,000 likes and beating out Marguerite Sauvage's Ninjak #1 which won best cover for 2015). That alone make is worth both the money and also worth asking.

Just my two cents, either way it's a great piece.

Well, this certainly confirms my paranoia that if I don't jump on these things immediately someone else will swoop in an grab it.

As much as I'd love to have the complete image, I really prefer to leave my OA as-is. I once purchased the original pencils for a cover that had been digitally inked and colored, and the artist offered to ink it for a very reasonable price, but I knew the fact that they weren't the actual inks used in producing the cover would always nag at me just a little bit, so I declined.

True story! Usually if I see a cover I like, I'm reaching out to the artist that same day out of fear of the same paranoia.

I was prepared to go higher if I had to. If you hadn't crushed me on that Harbinger cover last week I probably would have been cooling my jets this week

I was willing to go to $2500 on that cover, but I didn't even bid when it got as high as it did.
This is a nice consolation prize I suppose.

But in all seriousness, it being from the first one really means the world to me aside from it being one of the best pages from the issue.

The face is so life like and has fantastic detail. Mico is very talented , his faces are second to none ! For his entire BSR run , the characters are so well modeled. I wonder if they are based on actual people and if so who they are.
