Keep in mind that 3% is only 311 copies. That's not a huge shift.

Those Imperium numbers are sad especially considering the amazing quality of the book.

If he were still writing for comicvine, right about now would be the time Gregg Katzman would be making an article about Imperium. That guy was awesome at spreading the good word of Valiant.

Imperium is probably THE BEST comic I've had the pleasure of reading. Its criminal that more comic shop go-ers are picking this up.

I hope the title continues irrespective of numbers and steadily develops a broader fan base. I read somewhere that X-Men struggled for a number of years and was close to be canned by Marvel back in the day. Hopefully Valiant stick with the title and we get a long run like the current XO is seeing. :hope:

It's true, X-Men was almost canceled. I think at one point they were just reprinting earlier stories with a new cover and issue number.

Yep, until Giant Sized X-Men #1 where they introduced the new international X-Men team in the first new X-Men story in 5 years. Issues 67-93 were all reprints. Issue 94 came out after Giant Sized #1, which is considered to have happened after issue 66. Even if Imperium does end eventually (either early or when Dysart finishes what story he's telling) there will be more Harbinger based stories coming I'm sure, and when the movies actually start happening, the small number of issues in the wild will probably make some speculator types happy.

No disrespect intended to anyone who has worked on the book, I just don't think the art has really matched the tone for me.

Regardless, it's so good, and deserves bigger numbers.
I'll adjust this statement to say that Cafu is by far the closest - rereading the last two issues he's absolutely firing on all cylinders here.

Completely agree. I'm hoping after Evans' upcoming arc they pull Cafu back.
