I contacted Mike Choi about it in December, and received no response. So I spent my funds on the LaRosa Divinity (plus an unfinished EW cover he included that I haven't seen yet...) and the Segovia and Nord X-O covers.

After a few weeks, randomly, Mike replied and stated that the cover was still available and for sale. He stated that he would not sell before the issue was actually released, but I explained that it would be released this week and he quoted me a price range. We negotiated (very little) and worked the deal.

Honestly, between CAFU's X-O #39, Nord's X-O #11, Segovia's X-O #44, and Choi's X-O #43 covers I'm pretty good on X-O art for the time being (or at least need to be good on it).

I'll likely sell three covers with matching slabs in the near future to off-set this recent spending, so folks can talk to me if interested of course. :thumb:

Both are solid, but that A&A #19 is a total win. :thumb:

Just received a couple of Ryan Sook covers in the mail.

Quantum & Woody #1
According to Ryan, he only had about 24 hours to pencil, ink, and color this cover, so when he needed more room to add in Quantum's arm and the rest of Woody's finger he had to just draw them on a separate board and combine them digitally when he scanned them in. Quantum's shoulder is kinda cut off in this scan, but in the actual piece it just looks like his arm is behind him, so unless you know what the published cover looks like you wouldn't even notice.

I just got this one in the mail today:

Bloodshot Reborn #11 variant cover by Brian Level

Brian does a lot of cool texturing with ink and white out so his art is espacially remarkable up close.

That Sook Q&W #1 cover is a MUCH stronger pick-up than I think many people realize. Very legit, and completely amazing.

Re-built for posting.

Of course I very much like to share original art on my page. It helps promote Valiant, the artist(s), and (of course) the art you own to the the widest-possible audience (that I can think of right now).

Nice work on that! I do realize that Quantum & Woody isn't a super-popular book, even among Valiant fans, but I was kinda surprised that Ryan still had that cover laying around. Worked out well for me I guess. :)

I actually was momentarily frustrated about the modern age cover being sold to you (lol), as similar plans for all four covers was also on my mind...

The one I have was actually called the "Platinum Age" variant (which doesn't really make sense since I'm pretty sure the platinum age came before the golden age, but I guess calling it the "Liefeld" variant would have been a bit rude), the "Modern Age" variant is still available.

See, the Liefeld variant should actually be the modern age variant since it depicts a modern age look.

The actual modern age cover looks more like a current indie cover (which it sort of is when you think about it). :?

I'm ecstatic to have won this. It is from the 2005 dynamic forces lithograph.

Does anyone have any idea how many of the lithos were made? I can't find any available online...

Congrats! Killer piece. Was the litho for this ever actually produced? I thought there was an issue at the time
with them using Mother-God and Geoff. I believe it did make the cover of Comic Shop News or similar publication.
