Can't believe nobody has posted this yet:

I'm really scared the new creative team are going to take what FVL did with A&A and turn it into slapstick comedy a la Q and W. Fingers crossed that isn't the case.

I like Archer's big ears. For some reason they amuse me.
I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

I will miss FVL writing Archer and Armstrong, but I remain open minded and hoping for something fun and entertaining.

VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

I loved FVL on Archer and Armstrong. This does not excite me at all.

I'm not as excited as I would be for more FVL, but I'll give it a chance.

I'll buy it and it would have to be terrible for me not to read it every month. That said, I don't like the art.

The whole concept of A&A is tough to continue with in the long run. Just look at what the VH1 run turned into (macrobiotic cult anyone?). Hopefully this new team is able to pull it off.

"Valiant's next flagship series"
Interested in what they mean by this. Is X-O ending?

I think they consider all of the ongoings as "flagship series".kjjohanson wrote:"Valiant's next flagship series"

Re: Preview: Adventures of Archer & Armstrong #1

I hate the art. And by now, Archer is not just a "sheltered teenage martial arts master".
I am now fearing that this will suffer from the same problems that some stuff (DD) did: lack of consistency with what has been written before."
I am buying it and reading it, at least the first arc. But if this is Quantum & Woody in disguise (read: too much of the stupid "funnystuff") I might drop a title from VEI since they began. Voting with my wallet.
