Got a link? Doesn't ring any bells, but I haven't bought much on eBay over the past year.

They have a bunch of Valiant stuff listed on ebay so I figured someone here must have done business with them in the past.

Correct. Lots of Valiant so I assumed someone has bought from them before. I was wondering how their grading was compared to what the buyer thought it was.

I am guessing pretty good, I don't actually buy off ebay (just in person or from people on this site), but 0 Neutral or negative comments in 12 months is pretty good I think.
Also, I keep hearing from people on here that ebay is horrible for sellers since there is so much buyer protection, so it seems like there is no real risk as long as using paypal... either way, Good luck

I don't go off of feedback when it comes to grading because many buyers will not give negative or neutral feedback when an item is not as described. So a 100% feedback is not a sign of a good grader in my experience.
I looked at the stars for item as described which looks like 10% of buyers did not think the item was as described. I get tired of sending packages back to the seller at my cost not to mention taking time off of work to drive to the post office, which is why I try and buy from people here as I've generally had better results with members here grading correctly.
I am probably a bit more difficult as I'm looking to try and complete a Valiant run of 9.4 or above so I am trying my best to find buyers others have been happy with. Thanks.

yeah I bet a lot of NM is prob NM- or so which would be a HUGE PITA... Did you ever pm Bloodshot? I think he has mentioned to me before he has a bunch of other stuff besides his WTS threads. He may be your source for 9.4+ valiants or maybe ckb. I assume he would have a ton too. I think nycjadie said he has a bunch high grade Valiant stuff too... I could be mixing him up with someone else though, anyway, good luck on completing your collection!!!

Yes, I picked up a bunch of stuff from Bloodshot and CKB and quite a few other members over the years. I appreciate the advice!

Re: Ebay Seller Comic Book Nirvana?
Ah. I was searching for user id, which is why I couldn't find it.
Still don't recognise the name though (user id is ccman9892012) - I don't think I've bought from this seller. I only use eBay for harder to find books though.
Generally I've had good luck on eBay, but I'll be sure to look at posted pics carefully and will ask for better ones if the posted ones are not clear. From my experience, usually NM means NM, and sometimes VF/NM means NM. Best sellers are the ones who describe how they grade. I've found anything posted as NM/M is generally not. It's usually NM- at best.
Feedback may not necessarily indicate the condition of the book, but it's a good indicator of buying experience and the sellers ability to resolve problems.
The risk is more in the shipping and whether the seller knows how to safely package books. Even then it's not always a sure thing...

Re: Ebay Seller Comic Book Nirvana?
Hey guys, Comic Book Nirvana is my store. I started it up this past Spring about the same time I joined these boards. I do grade pretty tough, but as always grading is subjective. I'm always on the lookout for Valiants and if I can get the NuValiant for around a dollar I snatch them up. I just wish more mainstream comic collectors would give the NuValiant more of a chance.

The books arrived I picked up off of Ebay and you were very good in your grading. Thank you very much!
