Which is me basically saying, VDitti, surprise us more in your story arc endings.

I think I've been saying that for two years now. There could have been a cliffhanger in the last issue where the vine cops rescue someone but we don't know who it is, then open this issue revealing Trill. At least we got one this issue with the targeting of Saana.

And what was up with that "I am a king. And you will obey." panel? You're not his king. You're his commanding officer.

While I am enjoying the arc and issue, this book moves like molasses in winter. How much time has transpired in the last two issues? An hour? I know it won't happen but I'd like to see another writer. The concepts are alright but the X-O-cution is lacking.

Aric is seen as a head of state as shown in the wedding issue. So when he says he's king and that you should show respect he damn well means it.

If that's the case they should get a spot at the UN. Give Saana more to do. Or Volo, I suppose.

If the Visigoths are staying in the U.S and their king personally serves the U.S military as an officer (technically), wouldn't that make them essentially a territory of the U.S. I'm not 100% sure how it works, but I always assumed it was basically the same setup as Puerto Rico- we own you but you technically aren't a citizen.

Haha. I guess it depends on what is considered conventional and what it's used for. Otherwise Bruce Willis and Ben Afleck would have been in a whole lotta trouble.

That would be assuming that the U.S. has control/ownership of Shanhara. As far as I could tell it's more of an agreement between the U.S. and Aric, with the U.S. providing homeland for the Visigoths in exchange for Aric's cooperation in certain operations. If anyone's violating the Outer Space Treaty it's Aric himself.

That would be assuming that the U.S. has control/ownership of Shanhara. So what you're saying is that if Aric doesn't play ball and do as he's told, the U.N could basically disown him as a terrorist!! THAT could be a hell of an arc.

While no nation can claim Mars, that doesn't mean the Vine can't. Actually, the fact that no nation can or has claimed Mars would actually help their claim as there would be no contesting claim.

They could, it'd be an interesting story addition thats for sure.

Interesting to see Trill and overall an enjoyable issue, even if some of the face-off stuff has felt a little forced over the two issues: a contrivance predicted on having in the same unit both a Planting and a guy suffering Armor Hunter related PTSD. That said, this still felt and read better than the Armorines contrivances, which were the nadir of this book for me.
