Valiant Masters
Has VEI dropped this endeavor, or are there more VH1 valiant Masters in the works?
I prefer these hardcovers to leafing through old issues. On a tangential query; what VEI
Hardcovers/ Deluxe editions are out there and in the works?

Re: Valiant Masters
I too have been wondering about the Masters line.
I greatly like the Omnis but a few series are too small to be Omni'd
A two volume Visitor Masters would fill out that title.
A two volume Psi-Lords Masters would fill out that title.
A one volume Geomancer Masters would complete that title.
Titles like Dr.Mirage and Ivar are to me borderline large enough, just barely, to turn into Omni's
But clearly they aren't likely to Omni, anytime soon anyway, something like H.A.R.D Corps but they've yet to give us a vol.2 Masters on that or Ninjak or Shadowman etc, all titles worthy of Omni'ing also, but started as Masters already.

Re: Valiant Masters
I think it might be better just to turn the Valiant Masters line into something like Marvel's Essentials or DC's Showcase Presents. You know, cheap, cost effective b&w phone book sized tomes filled with 500+ pages worth of comics. But you know how some people can be incredibly anal about not having colored comics
(probably why IDW colored older Judge Dredd & TMNT stories)

If they were to go the cheap big trade route, i´d prefer the epic collection style, a little more expensive than the essentials, but better quality and yes, color.omega_override wrote:I think it might be better just to turn the Valiant Masters line into something like Marvel's Essentials or DC's Showcase Presents. It is a shame they had to raise their masters to 40$, it makes for a much less desirable book.

Re: Valiant Masters
What is the Epic Collection printed on exactly? News-pulp like the Archie Digests? Had been rather curious as to how they managed to keep the price so low and still have it in colorIbero wrote:If they were to go the cheap big trade route, i´d prefer the epic collection style, a little more expensive than the essentials, but better quality and yes, color

Re: Valiant Masters
yes, that kind of paper, it is of good quality. I guess they keep the price low by making a higher number of them, i dont know. I have 2 of the spiderman and quite happy with them. The cover is not the strongest material, but is well put together and the pages dont fall.omega_override wrote:What is the Epic Collection printed on exactly? News-pulp like the Archie Digests? Re: Valiant Masters
While I have nothing against Omnibus collections I hope the original reprint Master series eventually continue as single volume as well. I can't really afford $100 a pop books and felt that the $25 dollar range was great.

Re: Valiant Masters
Doing the Masters as a traditional trade paperback would be better because I don't at all feel comfortable paying thirty some odd dollars for only 8 measly issuesdornwolf wrote:While I have nothing against Omnibus collections I hope the original reprint Master series eventually continue as single volume as well

Well I tend to agree there. Still a better deal than current titles. $25 for 4 issues. I'm Ctually surprised we riding get paperback releases.omega_override wrote:Doing the Masters as a traditional trade paperback would be better because I don't at all feel comfortable paying thirty some odd dollars for only 8 measly issuesdornwolf wrote:While I have nothing against Omnibus collections I hope the original reprint Master series eventually continue as single volume as well
