These two have it, one in fine, one in near mint. You pays your money and takes your chances.

The comicbook has been around since the 30's so that's a heck of run. It also crosses several generations, so hopefully a few younger readers still prefer their fill of superhero-dom in the printed form. I know I still prefer the printed page for my main reading pleasure even though I have embraced ...

Comics or Trades?
I have been buying comics since the early 60's when the idea of waiting for a trade was non-existant. I will buy a trade now if it reprints something I missed when it came out in monthly format, but I prefer to buy the comics even now, when it is often like buying a five-part trade in installments ...

I mainly receive my new comics from a monthly subscription service in the mail, rather than a LCS. Whether they are better or not, I wouldn't like to say, but they certainly are as flat and clean as I could ask. My local LCS is in Manchester, we don't have too many specialist comic shops in the UK ...

Collecting Modern Comics
I read an interesting piece recently about the merits of collecting the modern comics because in general they have such small print runs compared to many years ago. Beyond the top twenty, a lot of very good comics are printed with runs under 50,000, which is very small compared to 30-40 years ago ...

I have no problems with MHC with either the NICE dept or the back issues, with one exception which was my fault anyway. I put an order in then saw some more stuff I wanted and although I emailed them the same day the orders came separately.

I love the Masterworks, but then I had the originals of a lot of them and they bring back all those great memories of your youth.
There are definitely differences in the reproduction. I haven't seen the Marvel Comics edition but in general they are fine, if a little bright in the colours compared ...

Guilty as charged
The thread seems to have taken a different slant, but to return to the original post, I am guilty as charged in that I found the site because I was looking to generate interest in the Acclaim comics I have to sell.
It's a while since I read them but I do like them, it's just that time doesn't allow ...
