Re: 2.6
By the way, previewsworld.com has now removed all information about The Final Witness as well as The Visitor #5 (while #6 is still listed). My best guess is The Visitor will only be collected and concluded in a TB. That would *SQUEE* me off if they start putting issues only in TPBs and not the fini...

You think there's any hope of honoring the Master Darque cliffhanger at the end of the current Rai volume?

Re: 2.6
Are you saying publishing only 2 books per month is a #BadIdea. I'm actually okay with it. At this point I'd rather have better quality than quantity to be honest. I do agree though, nobody at Valiant can still be working FT anymore at this point. Impossible! Only as a point of conversation -...

Re: Iron Man #1 1968
I decided to treat myself after overcoming a recent personal hurdle, so I went to the local shop and picked up an Iron Man #1, a book I've wanted for a long time. It's imperfect for sure, with some staining on the back. Still, it's probably a 4.0-5.0. I'm not quite sure because of the staining. A f...

I love my thread title. It reminds me of the "Whacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube Man!" things from Family Guy . Annnnyyywaay.... been gearing up to carry some pretty great storage stuff in the Wave 1 Collectibles store while we work on a new website not associated with eBay which should incl...

Re: Completed my VH1 Collection
On occasion it went to Graham Crackers in Saint Charles, IL because I really liked the manager of the LCS. I think that's Dan. He is a nice guy. Took him years to warm up to me though. There were years I walked in there and he'd clam up like he thought I was going to reach over the counter and brea...

You're *SQUEE* delusional! DMG and YINJI parted years ago. Whatever *SQUEE* is going on at VEI right now wouldn't even be approved by the CCP if they actually were in charge. Do you really believe (rhetorical, please no more bullsh*t theories) the CCP would be okay with all the diversity and woke s...

That graphic didn't really show anything correlating I'm sorry That was, ironically, my point in posting the graphic. There is no correlation beyond the artist liberty. You saw a panel of Iron Man and invented a correlation. It's one of the many avenues into the american consciousness This is ridic...

Golden Grahams in Naperville, IL. It was definitely my home from home. Graham Crackers in Naperville..... yup. I still go there to dig. Re: Some disappointing CGC results for someone...
My real issue with CGC is that the 9.8 is the appealing sort of market commanding grade. But the crapshoot between a 9.8 and a 9.6 is ridiculous at times - in many ways as it should be given the small difference on the scale. But I think everyone here knows that you could resubmit your 9.6 and provi...

Re: Some disappointing CGC results for someone...
It was me!!! OK, it wasn't me. The other option is the package/books were damaged in transit and CGC did not realize it. Check the pre-screen box, kids. Trust me. This post was... wisdom. I hadn't considered that possibility, but the combination of the shipping damage component and using the pre-sc...

Re: Some disappointing CGC results for someone...
Could be that be "that the submitter maybe was a guy who remembered that Valiant was big in the 90's, fished the books out of his attic or whatever and submitted them with sunshine in his eyes" but there are plenty of professionals who do not get it either. The owner of one of the comic shops I fre...

Re: Some disappointing CGC results for someone...
So the short of it is that I've run into people at conventions that are collectors but in circles like we have here they'd be called "normies. I've spoken with a lot of people like that at conventions and even by the CGC booth. One year a guy that was submitting to CGC at a con and he started asking...

Re: Some Really Crazy Stuff Going On With Mile High Lately
What you describe sounds like Bad Idea....! Or old school publishing. If offering books over variants is like Bad Idea's model I wouldn't know. I want to get on board, but chasing rare market comics just isn't something I can do like I used to. When I do some chasing that time goes towards Iron Man...

Re: Some Really Crazy Stuff Going On With Mile High Lately
He's been pushing this idea for a few months now after he lost a cargo container of books due to theft and water damage. Lots of hyperbole, but one thing I think we can all agree on - fewer people buy new comics everyday. I think those are single issue comics though. Floppies (A word I know you don...

Re: Now iron man is yellow/blue and looks like XO in a new book? More valiant in marvel..
Well...so ironman is infected with a symbiote, so it is a living alien armor? I've made a lot of predictions over the years here, and most have come true.. Mark my words...in a marvel comic soon, iron man will give conan an iron man style suit. But you will be able to see conan's full face.. This w...
