Malevs, Ectotheric Energy, and The Matrix

Actually, in reflection, it just occured to me that the Magnus run with the Malevs who put humans in little bubbles to draw off their "ectotheric energy" was kind of like the "copper top" human battery bit behind the Matrix.

I wonder if the W-ski Brothers were Magnus readers?

I thought the "Omega Power" got redefined at some point to basically be all known Harbinger Powers.

The base recreation would still be pretty inexplicable however. I might have to go dig out some comics and reread Visitor at some point. Unfortunately I dont have the full run though.

What is that...some sort of RPG? I am guessing that you used some sort of WYSIWYG to create that page.. Yeah, its Champions, The Superheroic Roleplaying Game.

The mechanics are the HERO System, Champions is just the Genre name. Champions/HERO System has been around a long time; it's currently in ...

Hmm...for me:

XO: The duality of Aric's primitive Visigoth outlook coupled with the overwhelmingly powerful technology of his suit. I liked Aric's barbaric perspective on things. And he called his armor suit "the good skin" :D You had to like that.

Harbingers: I like the one power motif for "teen ...

Why I liked Valiant Comics

Hey, new to the boards.

Thought Id introduce myself formally with a topical.

I started reading Valiant with Unity. I was a pretty serious collector as a kid, for my means and age, and had been hearing some buzz about V for months.

I was ordering from Diamond directly at the time, but for some ...

Yeah, the Harbinger reboot was jarring. Some of the characters had promise from a speculative standpoint, but the series just never went anywhere after that.

Everything that was great about Valiant started to dwindle after Shooter was ousted in my opinion. Not that Im a Shooter fan boy or anything ...
