GIT Corp did some digital versions of Marvel books (DVD ROM) if I remember rightly, but I am sure their liscence has lapsed. They were in talks to possibly publish other publishers workd digitally (such as MLJ/Archie superheroes).

You're right about the Marvel license. Actually, they're releasing ...

Paul Levitz: DC’s digital strategy

http://blog.newsarama.com/2008/07/18/paul-levitz-dcs-digital-strategy/

From what I understand, DC is looking to take their original comics stories, animate them, and offer them digitally. Sounds like the stuff CrossGen did years ago. The first chapter of Watchmen is available online:

Hmmm.

It would have made sense to me if the last issue wasn't Alan Moore's. It just seemed to shift the whole story in a wierd direction, and felt starnge and unresolved. It seemed like the whole story was dealing with one set of ideas, and dealing with them really well, then all of a sudden a ...

I remember Infinity Inc. 16 (where Mr. Bones first appeared) was supposedly hot because McFarlane based Spawn's design on him.

Huh. I've never heard of that before. Interesting!

Yeah, some street vendor in NY was selling it for a lot of money and gave that as the reason. This was around 1998, I ...

Not really real people (technically), but I'd love to see a comic starring famous TV characters - sort of like Crisis on Infinite Earths - where all these characters have to team up to stop some menace threatening their universe. So for example, part of the book might have Frasier, Gilligan, and the ...

Then there's X-O Manowar 4 for the Shadowman appearance (in, what, one or two panels?).

And Green Lantern 47 used to go for a lot, but other than being between issues 46 ...

DC released numerous free comics in the 80s, most notably those New Teen Titans drug awareness books, but usually they were promo books (DC Sampler, etc.).

At a convention in 2002, I found a Magnus #12 for I believe 50 cents. Not sure how much it went for back then, but I remember how hot that book was in the 90s and was a little surprised to see it.

Can't say I listened to anything when I read (or in my case, skimmed) Valiant comics, but I got into them in 1994 around the time Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" was a hit, so when I heard the song it would usually remind me of Solar.

Is there any interest in Valiant comics on DVD?

Basically, there's a company called Graphic Imaging Technology that put out DVDs featuring scanned Marvel comics (the company's website: http://www.gitcorp.com ). I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in VEI putting their comics on DVD. Has VEI shown any interest in doing this? And if ...
