Re: Is "Imperium" Ending?

No! No, no, no! This is my favorite series at Valiant! This is such a damn shame. I really hope the ending doesn't feel rushed. Damn, this is a bummer. I'm enjoying all the Valiant books, but with Ivar and Imperium both gone, I've lost my favorite books. A&A will probably be my new favorite, but I ...

Re: The Valiant #1

Just finished this issue, and sadly I can't say it was all that great. Nice exposition on Gilad and his eternal fight to protect the Geomancer from the Eternal Enemy. Even makes logical sense why these others characters ( Bloodshot, XO, Aram) would make appearances ( he needs to recruit warriors to ...

Also, Note to Valiant ... Disciple is dead.

Maybe the GATE person didn't get updated with that Intel ... but just wanted to make mention of that in case there is a VEI person/editor who reads these discussions. Just want to try and squash any potential continuity issues.

I'm pretty sure Archer ...

Re: UNITY #5 Discussion

Well many asked for a straight up evil villain, so it looks like they got it. The guy has probably always been unstable. How else do you end up like he does? Better to have someone with a personality disorder than someone who turns evil because a lab accident caused all their hair to fall out ...

Re: Should Shadowman play saxophone?

I don't think it's necessary for him to actively play the sax, but jazz should be involved somehow. Him working at a bar or something would make sense. That said, I do miss the museum job he had for five minutes. They really need to build a life up around him... he should basically be Valiant's ...

Re: Should Shadowman play saxophone?

I would love to see smaller talents like this that don't pertain to the actual story necessarily, just smaller details that add depth to the characters.

YES! My favorite part of any old Claremont X-Men issue is when they're hanging around the mansion or in town and you get to know a little bit ...

Re: USA TODAY: Death Comes to Valiant Comics Harbinger Serie

Hmmm... Dysart's comments don't exactly inspire confidence.

I used "interesting", but you could replace that with what you said. I was being nice.
I agree, I appreciate his honesty, and I still love the comic itself, but it's sad to see. Can't help but lose a bit of confidence in the company. I ...

Re: USA TODAY: Death Comes to Valiant Comics Harbinger Serie

Great, why surprise us? So Valiant will be taking the Marvel and DC route of spoiling everything in their books months in advance? Why can't a character just die? Why do we need an entire arc with a title telling us someone will die? So we shouldn't worry for any major Valiant hero unless the title ...

Re: Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps #17 Discussion

It's been stated that Harada seemed a bit one-dimensional in this issue, and I agree, but I also think it's quite understandable. His long-term enemies (PRS) have raided his facility and tried to steal from him, AGAIN. I can't really blame the guy for being more than a bit *SQUEE* off. And not ...

Re: Eternal Warrior #4 Discussion

So I tweeted Greg Pak about the many continuity discrepancies, such as EW's retirement contradicting with his past in other books, the fact that the Earth goddess was alive in A & A, as well as EW's devotion to her in A & A and he replied with:

"Can't respond in detail for fear of spoilers. But ...

Re: Harbinger #19 Discussion

Jesus, how many Harbinger students are left? They've been dying left and right. Saturn in Harbinger Wars, Panic in Bloodshot, The Unity team, and everyone in this issue. I don't see how anyone can possibly still work for him. He was causing the death of everyone he's recruited. I never got the ...

Re: Shadowman 13

Weren't the original Shadowman's powers a little gray though? I remember reading Bob Hall saying he never wanted to pin them down; they were seemingly powered by Jack's own belief in them. I'm not sure if I like that though seems like an easy way of getting Jack out of things in a pinch.

That's ...

I absolutely enjoyed this issue much more than the last. Woody was actually very funny and even kind of endearing, I was really annoyed with him last issue. Looking forward to the next. I still don't love Doyle's art, but I think it was better here than the last issue. Although the backgrounds are ...

Vine Psiot?

I was thinking that since the Vine have bred with humans to have survived and spread as much as they did, what if they got human abilities? We don't know how someone becomes a latent psiot yet, but what if a Vine was one due to their breeding with humans? Although that's assuming being a psiot is ...

Re: Which Publisher's Output in 2013 Were You Most Thankful

Image Comics is my favorite publisher. Saga alone would make it the best of the year, but with Walking Dead, East of West, Invincible, Velvet, Black Science, Peter Panzerfaust, Thief of Thieves, Witch Doctor, Manifest Destiny, Ghosted, Five Ghosts, The Bounce, Sex, Sex Criminals, Satellite Sam, and ...

Another enjoyable issue for me. I did not mind the art; it did what it needed to for me as a reader, and did not seem unfitting as i was reading. But then tastes do vary.

While I am enjoying this new era for the book, particulalry in therms of the story and narrative, I am getting concerned with ...
