Indeed. I bid higher than any slab I ever bought. But, that last minute bid don’t go through. No regrets though. It is a comic.
I do think eBay missed the mark by not being more like a regular auction house. It probably would have made more for
Itself and it’s customers.

I tried and would have gone higher. I hate that eBay doesn’t extend an auction by X seconds, it’s the fastest sniper!

That is great, man. I have one store in driving distance, but it’s not my regular go to and is a schlepp for sure. They promised to give me a box though, so that was very nice of them for such a small order.

Re: Some disappointing CGC results for someone...

My real issue with CGC is that the 9.8 is the appealing sort of market commanding grade. But the crapshoot between a 9.8 and a 9.6 is ridiculous at times - in many ways as it should be given the small difference on the scale. But I think everyone here knows that you could resubmit your 9.6 and prov...

Re: Some disappointing CGC results for someone...

Oh my! That Bloodshot 32! How did that mistake happen? Sounds like somebody spent quarantine trying to make some dough, and they lost a bundle. I've had a few doozies for sure, like that silver age common that came back a 7.5 (for what reason, I'm still not sure), but a whole load of poop? I see tho...

Re: Some Really Crazy Stuff Going On With Mile High Lately

He's been pushing this idea for a few months now after he lost a cargo container of books due to theft and water damage. Lots of hyperbole, but one thing I think we can all agree on - fewer people buy new comics everyday. I think those are single issue comics though. Floppies (A word I know you don...

Re: Some Really Crazy Stuff Going On With Mile High Lately

Some really interesting content in the new Mile High newsletter that really corresponds with what some of us have seen regarding the market direction for the last few years. There is some hyperbole here or there..... Join me now in buying as many old comic books as you can, while you can. But in tr...

Re: RE: New Slabs on eBay

We talked about it on the boards for that issue, only 1 other person said they had a newsstand copy at a 9.8. Valiant Newsstands are just that much rarer in high grade compared to Marvel/DCs from that time. Jason I paid $220 shipped for mine, as an FYI. They are so darn hard to find in high grade. ...

Re: another unseen VH1 item..

It seems to have been used for the Omnibus, so it is a published piece. For original color covers, I generally see sales prices at $100-500 (with the higher end being key issues only), but the vast majority are between $100-175. If this was the original colors for Ninjak 1, I could see a price over ...

Not an easy feat! Congrats! I'm still chipping away at an ungraded set and any shows I used to attend always had these looking worse for wear. It's pretty sweet, right! I've been watching it forever. I think it's been on eBay for over a year now, and nobody seems to be jumping at that price. I have the Rai 1 color cover art, and it was a fraction of this price, but still, I have been watching it for ages...
