Haha I think I'm maybe more of a veteran young guy at this point?

$100 book
10 x $10 spots enter the waffle
1 spot chosen at random leaves the waffle with a new book
Nope. Still Greek.

Re: Why is Werewolf by Night 32 a $10K+ Book?

I get the supply and demand thing. This is why there are high prices, and I am certain that the print run on Hulk was much, much higher. However, there are other factors at play. Like comparisons of perceived value of the book, the character, the huge increase in realized prices in a short time, etc...

Eddie Vedder used to live in my neighborhood and I was at the local record shop - Easy Street, which still exists today. They had a ton of bootlegs in there at the time. He's in there looking at the CD's, takes a stack and runs out the door screaming you guys are ripping me off, some such. I thought...

Why is Werewolf by Night 32 a $10K+ Book?

I mean, I know - 1st Moon Knight. He is still a tier 3 character. But why is a 9.6 worth close to $15k?

That is way more than a Hulk 181 in that grade, or a GSX 1.

Re: The first BAD IDEA comic: HERO TRADE #1 by Lapham & Kindt out now.

It does seem like this has not gone exactly as planned. Getting noticed is great but creating angst and anger in some of the people that would normally be some of the largest evangelizers for the brand and product is not great. Seems like there should be a better way. That’s the point. It should no...

Re: The first BAD IDEA comic: HERO TRADE #1 by Lapham & Kindt out now.

So much angst. Bad Idea is getting noticed. That is good for us who want it to succeed so we can read great stories from kick-ass artists. I am a crazy completionist and find myself spending too much on getting Valiant variants. However, I’m not at all angst ridden about not getting a Hero Trade (a...

However the simple fact we are having this discussion means that something has gone wrong - and this kind of thing should probably not be repeated. I dunno. The fact that we (and others) are having this discussion means that something went exactly as planned. Now whether it was a good or Bad idea r...

True!

I'm really excited to read this, and there is not much to read at the shop these days. I like the Tweets I'm seeing where shops are selling this for $3.99, but I'm also excited to see Bad Idea start off with some big auctions as well.

Love the logo.

Many stores getting organized. Copies will come to surface over the next few days. But have no fear, the story will be included in Eniac 3.
I got a Harbinger Pink back in the day. I will get this one too!

Re: CGC White "THE FUTURE OF VALIANT" Custom Label

It's a total novelty, which by having it limited was having a more rare perceived value, and then they changed course. It was all very confusing, and now I'm left with labels that I wish I hadn't paid extra for. It was all a very confusing and unsatisfying customer experience.

I got my slab in good order. She is working slow, as can be expected. Congrats on the artwork, that Crain was my fave! Thank you, Steve. If I wanted to get the art book graded, what is the best route to take? Or, is it better just to have it framed or leave it in the plastic case? This is my first ...

Re: Record price for Turok Game?

What's "Buyer's Premium"? Is this just another (weird) term for the fee that goes to HA? Yes /Magnus An item that sells through Heritage Auctions tends to give 29% to Heritage, and 71% to the seller. Here's how: The item ends at $1,000. Heritage pays the seller $850 because the seller pays 15% to H...

Re: Record price for Turok Game?

I have a feeling that there are several people that are super video game collectors and focus on trying to get the best graded collection possible. There has to be more than a few with the prices I've seen. They aren't Turok collectors, they probably never played all the games, but they are video ga...

Re: Record price for Doctor Solar 1?

I bought my highest grade one - an 8.0, on ComicLink for $455.

I also bought a 7.0 for $223, but I'm not sure if I still own that one or not. The 8.0 was an upgrade. :thumb:

I quite like the 4.0 price.
