Re: Diamond filles for chapter 11 bankruptcy
It’s huge. End of an era. Maybe for the best. Maybe not.
It could be the end of Diamond remember Marvel filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and they're alive and well.
Yeah, the brand might survive, but I expect a new company will emerge. I have no clue whether that could be better or worse ...

Re: SCHISM from DEFIANT - Kickstarter ft. Jim Shooter, David Lapham
As a fan, I don't really care if they have permission or the legal right to print it although it should be noted that it appears they have secured the permission. This isn't a case of pirating. This is comic archeology or, to use less grandiose language, it's a fan project.

Jim Shooter co-created the Beyonder. Maybe it's a teaser that Shooter is coming back.Ryan wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 3:22 pm Since we're already in the Valiant Beyond era, shouldn't this one be called Valiant Beyond Beyond? Or maybe Valiant Beyond II: Even Beyonder?

Jack is in New Orleans so I think it's either going to be Bonni (short o) - face or fass. Doubtful that it's fache.
I do know some folks with the last name of Boney, pronounced like, you know, bone - ee, but I doubt Boniface would get Boney-Face because it's just too on the nose. Or maybe there is ...

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe #1
I had not purchased a Valiant title in a while, but I got this one and found it to be fine. A good start.
I know, it's shocking for a Valiant fan to buy and enjoy a Valiant title, but it happens every now and then. These aren't carried by my LCS and I didn't pre-order the rest of the mini, so I ...

I think the OP's conclusion is correct (Valiant IP has fallen), but I'm not sure this Kickstarter comparison tells us anything significant.

For what it's worth, here are my answers.
Best X-O storyline - Armor Hunters followed closely by VH1 X-O Manowar #0
Best Bloodshot run - Bloodshot Reborn
Best Harbinger run - Dysart by a mile which pains and brings me joy to say because Shooter/Lapham was perfection for me growing up

I was still riding my high of having 6 of my first 8 submissions being 9.8 with the other two being 9.6, I decided submit again. This time the results were more pedestrian and more unexpected (both good and bad). I paid for pressing this time around:

Say what you want about Frank Miller, but this image is emblazoned on my mind and was a seminal turning point for my relationship with comics back in the 80s. It is arguably one of the greatest story arcs in superhero comics, and is certainly a favorite among folks not just of my age, but also my ...
