Sometimes called lithos, a lithograph is a print made from (typically) metal plates created by a photographic process from original art. The metal plate has ink(s) applied and is put in contact with paper/cloth/etc. and THAT becomes the lithograph. Traditionally, they are signed and numbered to a limited quantity and the plates destroyed.

Because of the computer age, the process is a little sketchier, but the above describes the traditional approach.
