Definitely a candidate for the Auction Hall of Shame.

I think that people list things on Ebay all the time with outrageous prices. Just peek in the auction hall of shame thread for lots of fun examples.

I never get sick of seeing this stuff. Odds are that the book has a store sticker from the early '90s when the book might have fetched $50 so the seller thinks if could only have gone up in value. After all the comics market never goes down.

What would have really been bad was if the Unity #1 was a Blue Unity #0.

That auction is funny all the way around - and I quote - "We need to understand our agreement!" (Talking about the buyer understanding the seller's terms.)

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

I think the BIN on a lot of his auctions are way too high.

It is so easy to do a search of completed auctions and find out what things are going for on ebay. One minute of his time and he would know what a reasonable starting bid or BIN would be.

I think people with outrageous auctions like those two Unity's know exactly how much the comics are worth, they are just hoping to snag a "fish."

LOL, ok. I flat out admit that I shouldn't have contacted the guy on ebay... lmao... it was wrong. I'm sure you guys can figure out to some extent what my question to this guy was, but this is his response.... (hahahah)
BTW, I didn't make a $1 offer to this guy, so i don't know what THAT was about...

Hello,
I don't understand what your issue is, I sell products for people and I list them for the price that is asked. These items are from a comic book store so I have no control over anything. If you don't like me or my store that is fine but don't bother me with stupidity like $1 offers. I didn't bring the items to you and tell you to purchase them, instead you come to me and feel free to critique me for something I don't control. I am a fair person and help people out when able, unless they are rude and inconsiderate. As far as the board guys watchin my auction, so be it. I guess if you have time to be on a valiant comics message board you have no .................... anyway. Glad I can be of amusement to you, gotta give you something to do I guess,
Kevin

Guess Kevin is too busy a businessman to be bothered with contacts or $1 offers.... hahahahahaahah. Yup, I love having no life -snicker-

Yeah, that's a smart seller. Not only alienate one customer, but also proceed to torque off the rest of the fans of his product by making disparaging generalizations about their "lives". Real smart business tactics.....

Yeah, we should get a life and a real hobby.

Like Kevin and his past-time sniffing glue.

Let's all make this tool a $1 offer. :thumb:
