I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do

For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.

Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

Just a bit lingering on the events of the last issues. Then a whole new storyline begins. Even including the Star Trek-style "new character brought in to die". Not sure what to think of it yet.

All set up for next issue. Nothing really wrong, just nothing overly great in the confines of these 22 pages. If I could lump it in with next issue it might get a higher grade but by itself it's a 6.

Also what up with the artist? He puts out some of the best covers we've seen on this book since BWS and Leeke were doing them but his interiors are...well, inferior and a step down from the other artists.

I was expecting a little more out of this issue other than the bland book we ended up with. I think the issue should have concentrated more on the aspect of Aric getting the feel of the new suit. Just seeing him launch off into space with it and then go right into a lame story involving an incident at Orb was a little disappointing.

Same inker does the interiors (or atleast co inks the interiors). Besides the inker isn't going to redraw the whole darn thing. All the inking in the world doesn't save medocre layout.
