I am totally behind the power curve on this info... New Crossgen TPBs are to be published ? (yes, old stories but newly printed TPBs ?)

With the company 'dead'... I guess that Disney is trying to make some money off from it ?

OK, cool. I'm not going to get too excited about this yet then. The only Diamond code I could find was for SOJOURN, and CheckerBPG.com doesn't have anything about CrossGen releases. I wonder what kind of extras (if any) will make it into this/these... It would be awesome to read something recent from one of the creators regarding the reprints.

Well you won't find Diamond codes for the May releases because they haven't been solicited yet. Although I found it kind of weird that Checker Book didn't have anything on their website either, but considering how awkward it was to navigate, it doesn't surprise me.

The only professional quote I have for you at this time is from Ron Marz, when someone asked if any of the proceeds from these trades was going to the creators owed money by CrossGen, to which he responded "Hah! That's a good one." You can read Marz's comments here.

Did Disney buy CrossGen just so they could use Azadabad and intend to just ignore the superhero stuff? Otherwise not sure why Checker would be releasing these instead of Disney doing it themselves.

By the way, even though I don't collect CrossGen, I have been looking for a copy of Sojourn #1. Picked one up today at a local shop and paid less than cover, so I was pretty happy!

There is a booth at the local flea market that has stacks of CrossGen comics. The thing is, each stack is copies of the same book, but they probably have 15 or so different comics to choose from. Anyway, they get a buck a piece for them. I bought one, it was a 64 page Sojourn special. It is in my "to read" box.

My understanding is that Disney did indeed buy Crossgen for Azadabad. If superhero 'stuffs' come out of it... boo yaa (well as long as it it handled well).

Yeah they pretty much bought it for Abadazad, anything else is just gravy. Which is probably why Checker Book is putting out the trades, it's easy money for Disney with little effort. Plus, it may gauge the demand for some of the other properties. Also, Cal Publishing (the Disney subsidiary that bought the CG properties) isn't much of a U.S. comic book publisher to my knowledge.

anyone got any (cheap-o) extra copies of Sojourn? It's the only CrossGen book I intend to collect, because I just picked up a good chunk of them for 40 cents a pop. If someone has some extras, let me know.

Ok, here's what I need:

Sojourn #9, 13, 14, 18-21, 23, 26-32, 34

I've got a spare copy of Sojourn Collected Edition.

There's a guy at the flea market with stacks and stacks of the same 20-odd CrossGen issues.
