Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
So, it sounds as if Resurgence may be a reboot ("Doctor Silk [...] gains the means to reshape the very fabric of the Valiant Universe itself, unleashing a threat of unprecedented magnitude"), but what kind of reboot will it be?

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
It would be funny if the means that allow Silk to reshape the very fabric of the VALIANT Universe was a fusion reactor, lol...

Well, Phil's reactor was a wish granting machine. So it was his version of a cube.Chiclo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 7:34:53 pmOr a wish granting machine. Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
For me, the ideal "reboot" is one that integrates all three iterations of the VALIANT Universe into one, with priority given to the VEI iteration because it is the most recent.
In such a scenario, for instance, Archer's parents would be preachers that abuse children who murder Obadiah after he discovers their secret as portrayed in the VH 1 version but they would also be leaders of the Dominion that is a part of the Sect as portrayed in the VEI version.
Likewise, Bloodshot would be mobster Angelo Mortalli who the Mafia family he testifies against sells off to Project Rising Spirit (a Japanese company owned by Iwatsu, a man obsessed with immortality) as depicted in the VH 1 version, but he would also be Raymond Garrison, an undercover government operative who infiltrated the Mafia as depicted in the VH 2 version.
Things of that nature.

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
It seems from the solicits that the event involving Dr. Silk takes place in the present-day comics.
Here are the questions;
Will the outcome of the event affect the future-set comics like Rai? If so, how?
Has the event already taken place from Rai's perspective, or do the present and future exist simultaneously and concurrent with each other?
Is time absolute?

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
How would you explain Bloodshot being both Angelo Mortalli and Raymond Garrison? Split personality or something else?ManofTheAtom wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 9:44:42 pm For me, the ideal "reboot" is one that integrates all three iterations of the VALIANT Universe into one, with priority given to the VEI iteration because it is the most recent.

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
Think Wiseguy. As depicted in VH 2 Bloodshot, Raymond Garrison would infiltrate the mob using the identity of Angelo Mortalli. Then, as depicted in Bloodshot #0, he would testify against the crime families, be captured, and sold off to the Iwatsu corporation to be experimented on as part of Project Rising Spirit.Burrito Boy wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 4:16:13 pmHow would you explain Bloodshot being both Angelo Mortalli and Raymond Garrison? Just ignore the DOA and Project Lazarus from VH 2 and restore Iwatsu and Rising Spirit.
