I know they both smashed robots in Unity but
who would you say is stronger - Magnus or Gilad?
Time to take a dump. -Torque
Re: I know they both smashed robots in Unity but
Tough one - I'll go Magnus for brute strength but Gilad for durability.

Re: I know they both smashed robots in Unity but
Magnus' Harbinger ability is to make his hands as strong as steel.
Gilad is the fist and steel of the Earth.
An argument can be made that Magnus' ability makes him Gilad's equal.

Re: I know they both smashed robots in Unity but
Right, I agree. But if Gilad gets completely wrecked by the robots, his regenerative abilities are better than Magnus'.

Glad someone agrees - Magnus got his strength from Torque and his own ability is to make his skin tough as metal.
Ever wonder who 'brain popped' Magnus? Or what trauma led to his manifestation

Not saying that they're equal but remember when Gilad held that bridge against Genghis Khan? The bodies were piled high.....

Did all Harbingers need to be popped by an Omega or experience a trauma for their powers to manifest? I know many did, but did all of them?ManofTheAtom wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 11:11:42 amI hadn't until now, but his life before he arrived in North Am was certainly traumatic.jakgrimm wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 10:51:48 amHaha wow great point!ManofTheAtom wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 6:32:18 am Magnus' Harbinger ability is to make his hands as strong as steel.

Maybe the intense training by 1-A triggered him.

Cool. What counts as trauma can be pretty broad though. Some people experience trauma just reading the Valiantfans.com boardManofTheAtom wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 11:42:48 am

It's possible that 1-A, knowing Magnus was a latent Harbinger, triggered his powers in a safer more scientific way that had been developed in the future.
Re: I know they both smashed robots in Unity but
A related question is who is the better fighter? Gilad had mastered every martial art known to man, while Magnus was trained since birth in the most scientifically perfect martial art ever, developed by a sentient robot

Gilad since he lived several lifetimes, much longer than Magnus did.

Possibly. Magnus thought he was a robot until he read Kris' letter, no? That would be traumatic.
That's another thing from Rai #0. What was that in, Magnus #25?

What we read in the Harbinger books is about the first generation of Harbingers. How many second generation Harbies do we know of? I can think of only Magnus ands Rai jr.. Magnus' son Torque is 3rd gen. Perhaps second gens don't need popping.

No doubt. Some of the rules around Harbingers would probably have evolved by that time. Another one to add to the list, a proper telling of the VH1 Harbinger WarsManofTheAtom wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 3:18:04 pmThat should have been covered in a proper telling of the Harbinger Wars.
