I know he's not interested in parting with it, but I would be really interested in seeing what Greg's book might go forDirtbagSailor wrote:Coming soon...

Listening to this now. Perhaps Greg can confirm this, but I don't think he actually submitted it himself. Pretty sure he bought it off of eBay.
Also, not sure whether A&A #0 and Eternal Warrior #1 were printed in the same run, but I would assume not, since A&A came out a month before. Issue #1 was part 3 of Unity and EW was part 2,

Also, regarding Harbinger #1 coupons, there could potentially be coupons that were cut but never sent in. And there are known instances of blank coupons being inserted.

2,500 Eternal Warrior #1 Gold Flats were inadvertently shipped out in May of 1992.kjjohanson wrote:Listening to this now. Perhaps Greg can confirm this, but I don't think he actually submitted it himself. Pretty sure he bought it off of eBay.

That would still be about a month after the on-sale date for A&A #0. Not that they couldn't have printed them together, but adding a 5th color (gold) isn't a particularly complicated printing process that would entail printing all of the golds together.DirtbagSailor wrote:2,500 Eternal Warrior #1 Gold Flats were inadvertently shipped out in May of 1992.kjjohanson wrote:Listening to this now. Enjoyed this discussion immensely, would like to hear more episodes about collecting. Perhaps have different guests on who are ‘super Valiant collectors’ eg GregDirtbagSailor wrote:Click the link below for the TOP 10 Hottest Selling VH1 AND VEI Comics in 2019!

Re: OTV/VCR - Top 10 Hottest Selling VH1 & VEI Comics in 201
I just got a chance to listen, but I was able to hear the whole episode. Really good, reminds me why I used to get so excited about Valiant (before I got old).
I bought the (already-graded) CGC 10.0 Rai #0 (matte cover) in an Ebay auction in 2003. At the time, raw copies went for about $1. I bid $333.33, but won for $204, since the 2nd highest bidder only went to $200 or $201.50 or something like that. Two hundred times the raw price at the time, but I was thinking that fewer than 1-in-200 would be CGC 10. So far, it's the only CGC 10 Rai #0 after 3,800+ copies have been graded.
The Rai #0 was the first Valiant book to receive a CGC 10, graded in November 2001 but not the first comic to be graded CGC 10. The first CGC 10 (from any publisher) was a copy of Venom Lethal Protector #1 Black Printing Error graded in February 2000.
The second Valiant to be graded CGC 10 was an X-O Manowar #0, graded in October 2002. CGC changed their labels soon after, so those two Valiant books are technically the only CGC 10.0, since the new labels dropped the ".0" from the grade.
So far, CGC has graded 53,000+ Valiant books. 31 have been CGC 10, but over half are either Deathmate Preview or X-O #0. Otherwise, only about 1 in 3,500 slabbed Valiant books is CGC 10.
Since CGC grading costs about $25-$30 (including shipping both ways), you could say that there are $100,000 in CGC costs for each Valiant CGC 10 found so far (or about $50,000 if Deathmate Preview and X-O #0 are included).

I'm enjoying the discussion. Thanks guys.
I've been looking everywhere for the ultra-rare Turok vs Blister issue. Anybody able to help me out?
