It sounds like a fun maxi-series (can't see the concept of explaining the program going on for more than 25 issues or something- this will prob be a year-long story with a new series coming out of it, I would bet.)

Lots of Ninja stuff is always cool, so I'm in.

This sounds really good. I love the current Ninjak series and am stoked to see a new series coming in November - ongoing?

It's a long way from Ninja-A to Ninja-X!

You're probably right though.

This sounds entertaining enough, but that cover in the article... It's so 90's Mortal Kombat that it's cringe-inducing

I think that is Scorpion and Reptile in the back left, maybe Sub-Zero shows up. Cross Over event in the making. :?

It does have that vibe to it, reminded me not just of Mortal Kombat, but also, The Green Lantern Corps, and all the different colors they've (basically Geoff Johns) added over the years.

In all seriousness though, I'd love to see Ninjak go up against my two all time favorite Ninjas, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow... :o

I honestly don't know anything about GI Joe (not that big in the UK) but I bought my brother the Street Fighter Vs. GI Joe TPB for his birthday and he reckoned it was a bit of a laugh. I don't think Snake Eyes won the tournament though, so I reckon that if he can't even beat the SF guys he probably doesn't stand much chance against Ninjak :P

I think Possum was hinting at 'Ninjapanese', although I could be wrong.

Ninja-K so far has been 'Ninjak', so Ninja-P would be 'Ninjap'.

Oh, I didn't get that either but this makes sense.

I don't think we'll ever get to Ninja-P in this series as it will be more about what had been before than what will come after (K) unless we get a glimpse of the far future of the program and that Ninja-X agent (from the Book of Death stickies board).

i just pray he doesnt write ninjak like batman without a kill rule, kindt has a good characterization of him as an emotionally stunted guy, but in stuff like book of death he was getting way too close to being batman.

I can't remember what he was like in BoD now, but Ninjak is a trained killer: that's what ninjas are. Writing Ninjak as a non-killer, now or ever, would be a fundamental mistake.

It's no way in hell, Snake Eyes or Storm Shadow, loss a fight to anybody from Street Fighter. Now of course, the outcome rest heavily with said writer of this book, but I would hope the writer knew better. I'm a see if I can find this book, flip through it, I need to know now. :hm:

Lets say Snake Eyes doesn't lose by traditional K.O. but some sort of trick... and in the end someone's winning by using Satsui No Hado

My bro got back to me and this is basically correct - apparently there's more to Snake Eye's defeat than meets the eye, but I'll let you pick up the book for yourself to find out what happens! I gave it a flick through myself and although I didn't 'read' it per se, but it looked like a pretty lightehearted and humourous read so it's probably worth a go if you're a fan of either franchise and not taking the crossover idea too seriously :)
