FS: Red Solar Statue - Sean Chen's Artist Proof - SOLD -

I'm selling my one and only "Sean Chen - Red Solar Statue". This Solar Statue is Hand Colored.

The statue is signed (at the base) and is unnumbered. This was from Sean Chen's personal collection. The numbered edition was limited to only 30 pieces.

A brief history on this statue. On Aug 2012 I purchased it from fellow board member Caxiotis. The Solar statue has Sean Chen's signature at the bottom of the base, but no numbering. Caxiotis purchased this directly from Sean Chen.

I asked Sean Chen by PM since he is a member of this board why these were unnumbered and this was the response.

"Yes, I believe some of the later purchases were not numbered. Very few were let out that way, but there were some that were signed only. AP stands for Artists Proof. That would explain why there was no number on it. That means the statue you bought was from my personal collection. There are a few of those out there. Basically, someone wanted to buy a Solar statue after every numbered one has been sold. The only way they could get one is if I gave one from my personal collection. The mold has deteriorated and the original has been destroyed, so no more can be made. I did keep a few in my personal collection, but sold them all eventually."

I'm asking for $400 firm and will include shipping and insurance within the US.

The last time I've seen this statue for sale was back in May 12, 2014. It was listed for $400.

I love this statue, and have one in my collection, displayed in my TV room. It's a beauty. Best in my collection. I think it rivals the newer Bloodshot statue, personally. This will make one very lucky collector extremely happy.

Around 10 inches from foot to head and about 2 inches across.

Last question. Is there any provenance linking the statue to Sean Chen? I ask not because I doubt you, but for eventual resale purposes. I'm very interested, but I know someday I'm going to start selling my comic and statue collection.
