Ninjak and the Shadow Seven

Post by jrnewto »

When Ninjak, etc. are going after the Shadow Seven, does Kindt indicate where the other two are, given they only ever come across five? Does he count the Monk or Roku among them, as I don't recall there being any suggestion they were included among their number!?

I do not believe the Monk was #7, but I could be wrong. Weaponeer did not seem to be a part of his agenda. I think #7 could be/have been Darque. Or maybe someone yet to be revealed.

I always thought Colin himself was the seventh. They showed him in the group all the time, and they referred to him as brother. I also thought this because he was kind of questioning himself as he took over. It seemed to fit to me because I don't think he would have stopped until he had them all. The monk perplexes me to no end though! Lol. Lots of questions about him!

I think those references were made in regards to having trained with the Undead Monk. We saw there were many students there beyond Ninjak, the Shadow members and the bald assassin he killed. There was nothing that suggested Collin was ever part of the Shadow Seven or Weaponeer as they were all recruited by Kannon after Collin's memories of his training were wiped.

I'm with Ramses. I think Colin is the seventh.

To the original question, 1 is definitely Kannon. As for Seven I'm pretty sure it is Ninjak. After all even in VH1 Ninjak was part of Weaponeer.
I wrote a Shadowman Story for KINDLE WORLDS.

But the Shadow Seven were the founders of Weaponeer recruited by Kannon. There's already the question of why Kannon didn't recognize Colin from the monastery, but it would make even less sense for him not to recognize him if he recruited him to Weaponeer in the first place.

Sure Colin takes over the program from Kannon, but I think that's the nod to VH1. The way Colin wants to take them and their clients down just doesn't jive with him being one of the Seven.

I'll just have to ask Matt Kindt and see what he says...

In the last chapter, Fakir refers to the monk as the true leader of the shadow seven, so I assumed he was number seven.

I thought the Shadow Seven and the Weponeer were two different things. As in the Shadow Seven came first, ala Ninja -j then Ninja- k.

The weaponeer is an organization created and run by the shadow seven. So they are different but closely related.
