I would say if there is one and it's a rushed product it's a pretty good sign of Sony getting it's way over the V company and talent. I would love an awesome game though.

Comic book movie games kind of don't happen anymore. Which is good, because they're all pretty mediocre. I hope when we get a Valiant game it's more like the Arkham series- distinct from other adaptations and standalone in its own right.

The Valiant characters would be perfect for different types of Games
Bloodshot- First person shooter
Shadowman- Arkham City like 3rd person action game in new Orleans
Hard Corps-X-Com like turn based strategy action game
A&A-Mystery adventure game with small platformer action mixed in like Psychonauts..
Rai-Cyberpunk action thriller similar to Assassin's Creed
Harbinger- Action RPG
Imperium- Turn based global strategy game like Total War series
These are some of the titles I can think from the top of my head....
The possibilities are endless..

eh... Not sure repeating Acclaim's business model would be a good idea.

They still happen, quite often. Most recent was Amazing Spider-man 2. What's mainly happening are mobile titles or the current mobile titles getting events and characters.hunter_peterson wrote:Comic book movie games kind of don't happen anymore. There was a game of that?dornwolf wrote:They still happen, quite often. Most recent was Amazing Spider-man 2. Still, tie-in games are *SQUEE*. They should make games, period. As mentioned above, they have endless material to make games from without needing the movies as a crutch.

Agreed. I don't see anything wrong with producing a game and releasing it at/around the launch of a movie to help generate buzz, but the game itself doesn't need to be a direct tie to the movie (as in, I don't need to play out the scenes of a movie in video game form).hunter_peterson wrote:There was a game of that?dornwolf wrote:They still happen, quite often. Star Wars:Battlefront is a decent example of releasing a good video game somewhat alongside a new Star Wars movie that doesn't directly tie into 'playing' the movie.

Re: Will there be a video game with the Bloodshot movie comi
Yep, this is where the Batman Arkham series got it right. Just make a great game about the character(s) and don't tie it to a movie. A Bloodshot game could be awesome. Set it in the time before he gets 'set free' and have it cover various missions and fake identities that he's given. And throughout the game pull back to slowly reveal that all these are the same guy and see how PRS is running him and controlling him. Maybe even have the end where he starts to find out/figure out this stuff himself, then they have to put him down, wipe his brain again, or even destroy that 'version' and start a new one which could be the one from the movie. Lots of possibilities!grendeljd wrote:Agreed. Alone, listless, breakfast table in an otherwise empty room.
Re: Will there be a video game with the Bloodshot movie comi
Totally agree releasing a game using those characters in an unrelated way is the best direction to go. The Batman Arkham games weren't made to tie in to the movies they did launch around them though. So did the surprisingly good Shadows of Mordor. In no way does that game tie into and Middle Earth movie, it is however a fun experience and does tell an interesting story.Phoenix8008 wrote:Yep, this is where the Batman Arkham series got it right.
