Soooo.... after 11 short years... I am the first person to have completed, not one, but two Cgc 9.8 Pre-Unity registries.

Congrats. I'm proud to be an owner of a Pre-Unity set myself. Kudos!

Thanks guys! :thumb:

If anyone comes into our Valiant world and thinks they can just throw together a complete Cgc 9.8 pre-unity set easily... Lol boy are they in for a surprise.

As a matter of fact... This set of books, DO NOT receive the respect they deserve.... PERIOD!

11 years Folks.... 11 years... Of non stop searching and submitting and working deals...

I have put together many registry sets of other books (some very popular and respected) and so far... No set has been SO challenging. facepalm

I just wish we could get some recognition in the OVERALL comic book world.

Even a 9.6 set is ridiculously hard to complete. :!:

I'm too lazy to setup a registry. I have an almost complete pre-unity 9.8 set. I'm missing Vintage MRF 1-4 and then have about 4 other books in 9.6 instead of 9.8.

I think that I can state with much certainty.. Archer and Armstrong 0 gold, Vintage Magnus 2 and 4 as well as a few others of slightly lessor degree of difficulty.

Vintage MRF 1-4 (I think you have to be a part of this community to complete this set. It was one of the reasons I joined.

MRF 11 & 13 (Before the mass submissions to CGC. In hindsight, I overpaid considerably for these issues. Oh well.)

I'm a registered member on CGC's website. How do you do it? Do you just type in the serial number for each issue?

I figured it out. Not too difficult. It appears as if several of my books are still owned by other users. I'll have to wait for them to transfer.

Well... The years have seen different scenarios. For a while Rai 5 and magnus 0 w card were near impossible. Then Magnus 11 & 13 were never available. A&A 0 gold and VMagnus are all very difficult to get. Solar 4 & 5 are pretty rare.

A lot of folks think its the fact that a lot of these issues are "common" and people won't get them slabbed. I am not so sure anymore. 15 years of slabbing and All of these have gone for over the $100 level easily. So why haven't people tried cashing out?

Also just because there is a copy sitting on ebay right now for months does NOT mean its easy to get. Everyone remember the x-o 1/2 gold sales? How about now? Lol Things dry up sometimes.... Amazing spidy 300 9.8 used to have 10 copies for sell on ebay everyday.... Now there are long periods of none. :?

Just my 2 cents
